Photoshop CS3 Installation Problem

I have tried about 10 times now. And still not working . I go through the installation program, and it stops on, 'installing shared components'. It displays no error message, and it doesn't crash the program, the program simply does nothing at all after this.

Like most Adobe installtions I thought it would just generally take a while, but after leaving it for an hour I knew it just was playing up. I have tried multiple time, restarted the computer, turned off firewalls, read troubleshoots (have found none the same as mine yet). So could anyone in here PLEASE save me from smashing my brand new laptop into bits. I am getting so frustrated with it now .

Adobe's official trial, I wanted to try it before I bought it.

close all programs before you install, that is the most common mistake people ignore, if it is installing shared files, it can not write to them if they are being used by another program at the time,. this would include your firewall and AV and any messenger or other programs running, like windows defender, spybot, anything you use running thats not needed.

I have done all that, but still for some reason. Dead. I think I'll just give up.

    Trial.

Does anyone know of some free software which can EDIT PDS files. I need an editor which actually works too, and not just a viewer. I am getting sick of searching for a program which works now, even the official vendors don't work :(.

Thankfully I have sorted this out now, after thoroughly scanning the web I found out that you have to wait for about 20 minutes, it is just a rubbish installation by Adobe, that's all. They need to sort it out, it would be better if they had a caption saying, 'this may take quiet a while, please be patient', or something along those lines.
