I'm curious to know how often some people have exaggerated about how much they really earn online. I'm pretty sure there would be quite a lot of you whether it be lying to people on this forum to boost your image or in real life. It'd also be interesting to know how many people never exaggerate this sort of thing. I for one have done so once or twice but only really upping my earnings anywhere between 10-25%. Of course though, alot may just lie when replying to this topic so they don't look bad, but honest is the best policy.
what's to lie for? I earn a few cents a day and I am proud of it. I would never lie about such things. Not about anything to be honest
people will find out pretty soon when you are lyiung. And I don't want to be known as a liar here on DP, bad for buisness. I always have been fair and I think people always mus be fair.
Exaggerating my earnings... the only time I've done that is rounding to the nearest ten bucks. I post screenshot stats (and am too much of a newb to edit them ) on my blog, and don't really see the point of lying. If you're not making anything, heck; it's better to let people know that so that they can help you improve.
I haven't done it on DP and I doubt I ever will. I've only done it in person to a friend something and have on occasion over calculated the monthy income. If it was anything to do with the incomes for a site for sale then obvious exaggerating it would definetely be out of the equation is it's completely and entirely unethical.
with posting these kinda threads you give a wrong impression. What if I would want to deal with you and I just read this. Lying is ALWAYS wrong. No matter to who and why.
Your right there. I probably did create the wrong impression with this thread but that was not it's intention from the start. Using they keyword "lie" in the OP probably wasn't the best word for this thread rather something like exaggerate. It would of really been interesting though to know more on how many people have exaggerated their income on threads posted here. Also, as I previously said not so much for threads involving the sale of any items but more so for the ones where people ask what is the most they've earnt in a day/week/month/year, etc.

I earned $90 with clickbank (2 sales, 1 was mine...) and a huge $8.47 from adsense last month... :/ Expecting that to go up, my goal is mid $xxx this month (not only from adsense)..
