Friend, I can understand your concern over this. I would agree the religious divide is causing many problems, and a lot of misery to many people.

You are concerned about what is happening in Sudan, and around the world. Muslims fighting, protesting, etc. But there are underlying reasons for everything.

There is a cycle of violence, an unending cycle of violence.

It all began during the First World War. Allied powers sent Lawrence of Arabia to Arab countries to garner their support against the Ottaman Empire. In return, they were promised independence from the rule of Ottoman Turks.

But they were betrayed. All Arab countries, including Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, etc were distributed amongst the victor countries as the spoils of war. What a shame. The last Caliph of Islam, was exiled in Switzerland, and no one knows what happened to him or his family. That was the point the Muslims realized they cannot trust the West.

The same thing happened again, when in 1948, israel was created, and millions of Palestinians were driven out of their homes. US threatened Egypt and Jordan with nuclear weapons. The memory of Hiroshima bombings was still fresh, and Arabs could do nothing but watch helplessly, while their brothers in the heart of Arabia were being tormented.

Again the same thing in 1952 Suez Canal War.

Again the same thing in 1967 War.

The same thing in 1982 invasion of Lebanon.

Let me assure you, it is israel and USA who have created terrorists in the first place. Today, Palestinians constitute the largest refugee population in the world.

My blood boils when I watch the bombings and killings in Iraq. When I watch the war footage of Afghanistan and Iraq, I loose my temper. When I realize that US is responsible for suffering of so many people, I feel pain in my heart. When I realize US was responsible for the Iraq-Iran war, which killed millions, I feel disgusted.

Just as every Russian was termed as a communist, every Muslim today is perceived as a Terrorist.

Today, when you see the Annapolis conference, you know it cannot happen, the conditions on the ground would not let it happen.

BUT, it the US president George W. bush, delivers on his promise of creating an independent Palestine, based on Justice, then he will be THE MOST RESPECTED PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA, and his name will be taken in the league of Great people.

But Palestine should be an independent state, not an Israeli vassal.

Believe me, Palestine is the key to solving this problem.
