I pay google AdWords and also yahoo AdWords system. Positions of my words are cca 2.5 on google and 1.5 on yahoo. I also pay for advertisment on www.stumbleupon.com. I have promoted my website on many public release website like prleap.com, www.free-press-release.com, www.1888pressrelease.com and many others...(but not www.prweb.com)...And I also add my website to many grief forums...I don't know what I'm doing wrong??? I have many visitors from google which are looking for memorial website or online memorial words...But when they come to me they never create a website..They are just looking or what....I don't know Please can someone help me where can I promote my website and if some one can tell me what is on my website not good. How many unique visitors per day? Can I ask about your income source? You said you use PPC but do you get anything in return?
The website looks great, so I don't think that's the problem. What sort of market research have you done? I.e. - how many people are intrested in the service you offer? I think its the kind of website that will work best from word of mouth promotion. If people are not aware of the service then they don't know to go looking for it. try doing some real world promotion, maybe an ad in the local paper? You would need to track your conversion rates to see if its working. Building an active community would also be good, I noticed that your forum is currently not working (returning sql errors).
Hey, First of all, your website takes a bit to load up. Why not put up adsense or other advertisement on your site.. Atleast you will get some money in return instead of all your visitors just bouncing. I would put up a CPM banners at the bottom of the page, maybe around the footer.

try using popup to popup a message to your website visitor. i the message tell them to try your free services. hope that help.

I get the feeling you are paying way to much for your advertising. How much do you pay per click if you dont mind me asking? Do you have an affiliate program? If you can get some good affiliates and get other people to put some hard work in, you should start seeing some results. This should be a good earning niche i'm thinking. I cant understand why you aren't making any money.
What's the uptake in this niche? Do you have any competitors? If so how are they doing? I can't imagine that there is a large proportion of people who want to share such intimate and painful experiences? How long would you expect a user to hang around for?
Maybe you should plug in some sort of affiliate program and partner up with those people who you go to for a funeral. I forgot the right name for it, hope you can figure out who I'm talking about . Anyway, if someone dies you go to those kinds of people and they take care of much of the planning for the funeral and the coffin as well. If you would be able to give those people a percentage on every sale made, you'd be getting a lot of extra sales. Since it's 40 dollars for an eternity? Plus no advertising costs. It'll only cost you to contact them, by phone, or do it by e-mail and it'll be cost-free. If you go through the yellow pages you'll be able to find a boatload of future "affiliates" If I had a site like yours, that would be the way to go. Also do NOT use advertising like adsense or anything, that would totally screw it up. Also no pop-ups! If a loved one of you had died and you made a site like that, you told people about the site so they can visit. How pissed would you be if you would see advertising and pop-ups on the website that is in fact a tribute to your late loved one. You've got a nice concept and site there, looks very nice. But as the money-hungry beast I am, I'd cancel the one-time payment. Monthly fee or annual fee is the way to go. Just saying, a thousand people creating a site with you and they all pay the one-time fee of 40 dollars, will give you 40k dollars. But a thousand people paying the annual fee is 25 is 25k a year (which in my opinion is better) and a thousand people paying 5 is 5k a month (even better if you ask me) Plus for someone you love, 5 dollars every month, or 25 every year is nothing. Hell, if it was really good I'd be happy to pay a hundred a month or more as a tribute to those who passed to the other realm. It's such a a specific market, I can't see general advertising being appropriate - do you get any response from stumbleupon? I wouldn't imagine you did. I'd suggest you need to target your promotion very tightly - can you make some kind of deal with funeral parlours and churches - local - (with discreet flyers and/or business cards) or who have a presence on the web. Likewise genealogy sites. (And I absolutely agree - NO adsense)
