Hello, I am using a shared hosting plan but sometimes they said my sites use too much resources, so i keep transferring from this shared hosting plan to another... and it wasted lot of time to transfer sites. I can make about $400 / month now for all my sites so I can afford a VPS or dedicated server. I am looking at the Planet that currently offer a discount of$147/month (normally $259) for Intel Dual Xeon 2.8GHz Processor plan from the Planet. What do you think about this plan? should I go with this plan or should I use VPS and if yes, what company is good? Thanks, Jenny.
lol $147/month discount, how they can afford such big discount better check twice for their service and make sure you are not missing anything. Regarding Hosting : i am with www.webhosting.UK.com really you worth paying them and you get excellent service and support for reasonable prices.
I would have to recommend these guys http://www.superbhosting.net/ Remember , anyone can sell you a server, BUT not everyone will treat you like they will Big companies like seomoz.com use these guys They have dedicated servers starting at $139.00 http://www.superbhosting.net/dedicatedservers/ Just my advice
They have a coupon for me so I paid only $147/mo for dedicated server. I don't know if anyone use the Planet and give me some advice. I never use dedicated server before so I am not sure if it is easy to configure and setup like a shared hosting or not. Thanks.
I have heard that the planet is good and I have been considering switching to them too. It would be good to hear if anyone has experience with them. I know that HostGator's servers are there and I have hosted with them for a while.
Get a good VPS - if you are almost okay on shared, then you don't need to make the jump to dedicated... Save some money It really depends on how much bandwidth and resources you use - and where your main audience (users) are... provide some more info, and I'd be happy to recommend some providers.
I would say the planet is trustable. They for one do own there own data center and don't just rent off other companies. I have rented a server off them before and had no troubles. Good luck on your choosing!
