I've recently taken up selling an excellent product online known as Fukken Wax (Fooken Wax).

Anyway, I've run into issues in the general marketing aspect of things. Traffic is flowing to the site, it's just not converting.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do to increase both traffic and sale conversions? I've considered adding the ability for people to earn commission on sales through me.

Perhaps adding it to CPA networks? If so, which would you suggest?

Nice Product and Nice website. I don't know why traffic isn't converting. I was tempted to buy some myself.

Have you tried any offline marketing?

Indeed. Just targetting businesses that sell similar products or products mine can be used on.

    Nice site.

Is it that you aren't seeing any sales, or is it that you think you should be getting X amount every day?

You do know that conversion rate is very low, right? And for car wax, I'm sorry to say it is dismal.

$9 for shipping? That would turn me off. I think that is one of your problems.

Why not just put the ordering form and the products right in front of them, below the video?

You have to get them at the heat of the moment. Don't make them have to click on a link to buy something. Serve the ordering form and the products to them on a silver platter. Sort of speak.

The first question that popped into my head is what makes this any better than, say, "Turtle Wax"? Maybe you should say why.

Why should I, as a consumer, but this over the Net, when I can go down to my local car store and pick up a can of wax? And, not pay $9 for shipping.

See if you can answer that for potential customers, BEFORE they log back out again.

Also, many Internet users don't watch videos. I, myself, don't have working speakers. Perhaps put in pictures too?

What are your ads like? If they are designed to bring in curiosity seekers, to lure them in, and then you are hoping they will buy, practically all won't. The ads have to tell exactly who you are and what you sell.

    Edited to say:

See if you can find a "hot girl to hold a can. From experience I know this will help convert into sales.

Make it sort of like one of those "GoDaddy" commercials.

Give "free tips" on how to use the wax to make their car shine.

Center free tips around the product, and then at the end of the tip, or article, put the ordering form.

Can you put together a video of two attractive women in shorts waxing a car?

    Think outside the box.

I may be able to help in some way.
I am currently looking for sponsors for my games and am currently charging nothing for the service.
Sites like yours with a physical product work best. And the traffic you get is extremely targeted as they are there to try and win your product. And as only one can win, you will get the remaining players purchasing as they already had their heart set on having one.
If you are interested PM me.

Get it in the shops locally. You would make more selling offline as opposed to online I think.

Your page is very well done. It should be making you some profit. Maybe change your cart pictures to better example the description. For example when a customer looks at your can listings they see one can for all 3. Make it so the first one displays one can. And the second one to display however many cans it says in the description and so on until 6 cans for the last one.

Keep driving traffic!! But as Jared said your product can really be put to use offline. Stick your URL on your windshield or side. Or pay someone to do it to their car. Offer to sponsor a car that goes to shows, etc.

To add to my previous post. I think you should possibly focus on offline marketing and just leave your website as a means of sale.

You could try going to trade fairs, these are a good way of promoting your product, even if you don't make any sales there you should make some in the next little while. Give people your business card so they can come back and look at the website after the show and because you have already got their interest and they have seen the tangible product they are more likely to buy.

Perhaps you could offer a free car wash at your local supermarket or service station and get them to stock your product as well as leaving your business card to the people whos car you have washed.

Just a few ideas that I'm sure you can add to

There's a very limited amount of shops you can buy from as it's only recently been marketed widespread. I'm definitely tackling the offline market, but I'd love to tackle the online onea bit more than I am right now.

    I like the look.

Marketing for tangible products might require a little different marketing approach. Here are a few things I'm noticing (please take them as constructive suggestions - these are things I've learned from experience and marketing classes):

    1) I'd get rid of the introduction of the company. You have an about us page already. I'd stick to that. You need to get right to the point and sell some positive points of your product right away to keep their interest.

    2) You possibly have the disadvantage of product familiarity and free marketing. For example, Subway sells subs. Anyone that sees another sub shop doesn't need to be sold on the concept. They just have to figure out if they want to spend their dollars there. Without the deep pockets of companies to help sell the concept, you have to do an even better job on the sale yourself. And as Perry Rose said, you need to close the deal as quickly as possible.

    3) Try to avoid the use of contractions such as "It'll" in your text. Large companies would never use them.

    4) As Perry Rose said, see if you can get shipping down. If you can, include it in the price of the product and then make yourself a hero by not charging a shipping fee. This is a common trick in marketing. People love something for nothing. If they feel like they are getting a deal, you are the good guy and they will be back.

    5) Instead of saying "Click here to get started", make it something like "Buy it NOW, click here!". I see a "Order now" but it's in small text off to the side. After I got done reading the initial paragraphs, I was waiting to see a big buy me button right below.

    Hope this helps.

Put the video back in, man. I meant to use both that and pictures. Maybe show pictures of hot cars guys like.

Maybe do a seperate page for more pictures of cars, selling them along the way?

You know us guys, we like hot women and hot cars. :)

You're not selling wax, you're selling a dream.

Can you put that video in your site, rather than it going to Youtube? Make it PART of your site.

See if you can work on putting in an ordering form right in front of them.

Work on that and the other suggestions we all gave you.

Even after all this is done, still expect only around 1 out of 100-300 people to buy.

That's just the way it is.

    Good luck with it.

I don't know about anyone else, but I just don't see people purchasing wax predominantly off the internet. I can see people buying it off the internet after it has been advertised offline, but that's just my opinion.

I think your best bet is selling it at wholesale to stores and other people wanting to onsell. Also possibly on ebay or similar

Even at 1 in every 2 or 3 hundred, I'd like that. :p

And yeah, working on the picture thing.

    And I lowered shipping.

Now replace the word "Marlboro" with the name of your wax.

    Don't know how? Hire someone.

    Remember...think outside the box.

Creating the almost perfect site is harder than selling it.
