I have just completed a scan of all available LLL.in's You can view the list here: www.ceneb.com/lists/in/lll There just 2,491 left. I recommend you use Whiz.in to register .in's, they currently have a $3.93 .in sale ongoing.
Thanks for posting, not going to register any more though, but LLL.in domains have been dramatically reducing this year.
Great List Peter! I currently do not own any ccTLDs but I am really thinking about registering one or two Thanks! Rep on the Way
hey i got a noob question, what use are these ? cuz the names dont make sence ? i mean, why do u guys register these ?
Like .co.uk is big in the UK, .in is big in India. People register LLL's because they can be acronyms (E.G. cfq.in, the first domain in the list, could mean Corporate Finance Qualification) for other words and there is only a limited supply of them (17,575).
If you have a company or website which makes sense in LLL like zxd.in - Zebra Xtreme Designers other wise its just waste of money
When you scan, you should be careful to confirm that the LLL.in domains are actually registered. The Indian registry has limits to how many scans you can make per day, and often will return erroneous "taken" results for unregistered domains. On the day of your scan, October 20, 2007, there were 5188 LLL.in unregistered. Today, there are just about 3000 unregistered LLL.in. Good luck!
I ran the scan and double checked through Moniker whois. My numbers are in line with ongoing monitoring by Johnnywj of Norway. According to a discussion on the topic at another board, the exact problem is: "the problem is that the some people are not aware of their IP being banned after few hundreds of WHOIS queries so they assume that all the "Not available" are LLL.in registered which are not. They simply show as not available because their IP is banned. The only ways to scan properly large quantities of .in names are: 1) use at least 50 proxy servers or 2) scan only 500 names daily" --quoted from italiandragon PS -- My latest scan --- 1 Dec 2007 --> 2979 LLL.in remain available.
Looks like most or all of the .in's are gone now. I have tried registering roughly 150 from the list and all were taken. whiz.in seems to be really buggy. Has all sorts of errors.
