Adding your site to foreign directories.

Hi everyone, im checking out some directories in a foreign language, and would like to know if you submit your directories to foreign language directories?

If you do, do you submit in english or do you submit in the language of the directory?

Ive been checking a few by observing where a member from here has submitted and some of the submissions are in english.

Also if you know polish and would help me translate a few sentences of a description from english to polish that would be cool.

I already asked for translation help here on DP somewhere else and some fool started swearing at me. in polish.

Oh and i already read that its beneficial even though its from a foreign language site, it can also look more natural too.

 

I've submitted my web directories to foreign language web directories, however approx 20 but I assume it's a great opportunity -- will look more into that.

I don't know polish, however if you do wish to submit to any swedish web directories, let me know and I will be more than happy to translate the sentence.

I think it is a good idea. I get a ton of traffic from Spanish speakers. They find the site and translate it using Google language tools or something else. By the first and last names of the paypal users, I have to say that I owe a great debt to the Spanish speaking community. I have made a lot of sales from a few others whose native tongue is not English.

I also have a directory for language resources if anyone is interested in submitting there language related websites for free.

 

Thats great news soju, i think there is good potential business from other non english speaking countries too, i feel its worth tapping into, very pleased to learn that you get good business from it.

 

Now that is something rather interesting and could well be worth it, immediately the language difficulties have already got me stumped though.

I wonder how the infrastructure is there though, maybe similar to India, where although those 2 countries make up a third of the planets population, its still s smaller percentage online.

Still an awesomely massive market to tap into though, and we all know its growing at light speed.

I have submited to quite a few Polish directories and if you put your site into relevant directory usually they get approved.
