Xp or vista

I'm going to do 64bit on my desktop. Not ready to make the switch yet though. Sticking with XP until years end.

 

Ubuntu Linux is better than both and free

 

Until Linux can run Gears of War, CS3, Office 2007 and of course Direct X.....you'll catch me with the worlds worst OS.

 

im a vista user and i say xp all the way

 

still xp or wait until sp2 before i upgrade. Aero is a good feature but looks similar to osx

Until vista gets a few service packs and gets work done on it until then xp is better because it has had work done on it, eventually vista will be better.

 

Since I stare at the computer all day. Looks are important. Computer power is cheap and not an issue for me.

 

So o guess that means you vote vista?

In that case you would rather go for looks than having a system that is not buggy and works great?

I use XP.I use Vista aswell on my other comp and have no problem till now and moreover my graphics card is working good in it!

To me XP is probably still the most used. I remember Microsoft stating in a news article that they are discontinuing computers having Vista installed (or something like that) until 2008. However, they stated that Vista has undoubtfully sold over 1 million copies. I don't really believe that - well I believe 300,000 or something like that. I am going to be buying a new laptop soon, and I won't be wanting Vista installed - because of all the negative comments about it. However I am quite interested to see what it is like. I have heard quite positive comments about the new features, nevertheless of the security bugs. To me, it is typical Microsoft. The best thing in my opinion what Microsoft has invented would probably be ASP.NET. Time and time again, including IE7, there is always at least one problem with their products. Going a bit off-topic, I don't understand why browsers like Mozilla Firefox is incredibily stable, whereas IE7 isn't. But again, the most probable reason why Vista was so successful was because of those not so experienced with computers buy a computer or the Vista software and haven't got any clue what Vista is like.

 

Windows XP Media > Any computer including those mac things...

Well,between XP and Vista,I choose XP.

I have Vista on my laptop and don`t work very good but I preffer XP.

 

for now on, i vote for XP. never ever use the vista unless u have such sufficient ram for yr machine. but, 4 wut ever it is, just use the xp.
