I hope everyone reads this thread and learns how important it is to leave I trader when a deal goes bad, no matter what you may be scared of. We have all read about Quebec Right? Hey just had this two disgusting actions. Scammer Alerts !!!!! and then Quebec - SCAMMER! Whats MOST INTERESTING is the NO ONE, left this guy a negative...... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=48829 Feedback Score: Positive Feedback: 43 100.0% Members who left positive: Members who left negative: 43 0 Total positive feedback: 43 Now, SOME will say "Yea - but he is banned , so why Bother?" I can answer that , Because everyone will know not only was he banned but for what reason, or what he did in the past. Sometimes these guys come back and register with usernames that are close and if the people leave the negatives and then we see a new user with a name close , It can help detect these things ... and I will close with this famous quote AND YET STILL , NO negatives..........
Yeah, you are right. It's a shame when a person has 43 itraders (which is very difficult to secure); and then he scam others.
Yes I totally agree with you and Sammie... All people needs to be careful and smart and they should think about their money.
It could be a hacked account as well, who knows , But for the love of god , these guys need to leave a negative for him.
Ya its true,4-5 months back someone added me to yahoo and asked if i could sell my DP account. He contacted few more members.
I did not leave a negative because I wasn't sure if you could leave two iTraders for one deal, and it didn't let me edit mine. I asked someone to clarify, but no one did. I will agree that it was partly my fault I was scammed - I was probably too quick to make the deal, but I have dealt with a lot of Digital Point members (even complete Peons in the past) without being burned, and did not think anything of doing a deal with some that had 42 Positives. I will say that I did try to make the appropriate research - I looked at a few of his iTraders and they were given out by established DP members for deals that had gone well. You learn with experience I guess; this was an expensive lesson, but maybe I will look into holding the domain names for a period of two weeks after payment. The irritating thing is that the website is already up, and he is profiting with it; sadly there is nothing I can do.
I left him a negative now. I think it is an old user who has sold his account, see feedback: Great Buyer. Pays as agreed. I'm happy to help you out in the future Paul! ty But the person I dealt with was Matthew James, although I'm not sure if that was a real name or an alias because the name of the owner of the phished Paypal account was Matthew as well. The email he used - His Adsense pub-ID - pub-5458877803375484 Let's hope that people are more careful than I was.
If we find people on other sites trying to buy or sell DP accounts should be report that to a moderator? I have seen it once before on another site, a long while back but I was really new to DP at the time and didn't know if it was allowed or not. I am very much against this practice as it is no different than lieing as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah, if a deal goes sour, I leave a negative. I don't feel bad. I also check iTrader before going through with a transaction.
But somethimes people cannot help it they get banned. I know a person who had a full pos rep (in the 40 I think it whas) and around 600 posts and suddenly he decided not to pay and scam people. Scamming can and always will happen sadly. Yes you are right. Not giving a red Itrader is stupid but it won't help always
