why my name???

Hi there
People here are looking at my ID(username on DP) more than my posts.........i m recieving negetive feedback only because my ID is taliban....why is it so .......

Taliban means Students in our language and i consider myself a student why people relate me to some thing else??????

people certainly shouldnt give you an infraction... but there are a lot of people in the usa who are scared of your nick...so they get angry when they feel someone is trying to scare them

It seems most people don't think out there actions before they act. (Including myself sometimes)

Perhaps you did not know that the majority of USA associated that word with terrorism, I even thought it was only terrorist related until I Google Define: the word, now I realize it also means religious studens.

Maybe if you PM the mods or admins they will make an exception for you to change your name, just explain your situation. That is if you want to change it, and I suggest you do because you will probably continue to receive the same type of response from other members.

 

Have a line in your signature for now explaining what your username means. Shame, but I don't think the Mods/Admin will change your name for you.

Silly jokes aside, You would have to be a complete plank to think picking a name like Taliban wouldn't cause controversy.. It doesn't matter what the word means in your language, i think to the majority of people the word Taliban means crazy arsed democracy hating woman beating child murdering suicide bombing scumbag MF.. hence all the red rep.. You couldn't have picked a worse username really, well maybe Osama bin Laden.. Lets hope Shawn or one of the mods will take pity on you and allow you to change you username..

it does not matter what the meaning of the word is, it is what it represents. i.e.

Gay means happy but Gay represents homosexual males.

Taliban means Student but represents severe Islamic beliefs and the violent repression of women and human rights.

Hitler is a member of the forums too, he also has a red rep count

before you choose a name for a forum think harder on what that name represents
