While on the topic of yearly/permanent listings i want to point out that unless you have had a bit of work done in the back, either by yourself or another coder then there is a slight thing that should be addressed.

Dargre created a solution for me, small fee, but highly recommend.

Basically if your offering Permanent Regular, and Yearly Featured, from what the admin offers you as standard in phpld, then you will understand that you cant do this properly as when you choose a duration for the listings it covers them all.

Unless of course you have a totally different setup and payment thingy in place but im not sure of how many are aware of this.

Also there is something else that doesn't happen when you expect, regarding featured and what happens to them at the end of a year, if set for a year.
Again sorted by dargre, PS: Not referring to his mod for featured near to expiring that he already offers.

You may want to check a few things out or have a good coder check for you to make sure things will be setup how your expecting.

    @ OP

As a matter of interest, do you realise that you have no visible TOS ?

Or have you just removed it ?

I'd say make them permanent some would say yearly links are a better choice, but I believe permanent listings are the way go.

    PERM REGULAR - ANNUAL FEATURED.

For everyone saying annual.. Let's get SUPER SERIOUS here. Who is going to renew? I'm not going to renew I bet 90% of the peopl who submit won't pay again when you send an invoice 1 year later. Just my thoughts but cummon ...

As i stated earlier its kind of mixed thoughts so i want to go Permanent as well as regular, you guys please help me in prices, and help find me the mod for it.

What should be Prices for my directory:
    1: Featured Yearly Submission
    2: Featured Permanent Submission
    3: Regular Yearly Submission
    4: Regular Permanent Submission

    Thanks in advance

You really should decide on your own prices, thats the sort of thing you need to be working out for yourself, maybe one thing to keep in mind is try to decide how accessable your directory should be to submitters.

Do you only want to target people with more income to spend or are you targetting budget, or can you appeal to them all with your variety of submission options.

I think appealing to them all is a good approach.

Someone i know was going to begin working on a mod for that above, i need to get in touch with him again and find out.

If you maintain quality standards and strict review integrity I'd say go lower prices are best.

    Here is why:

People with money love a good deal, people without money won't pay for top dollar.

This way you get both. Also you are selling a digital product with 0 variable costs for each additional unit sold. All you do is verify the submission and re-write the description right... Why not do 10 at 20$ a pop instead of 4 at 40....

You are 100% correct, offering lifetime will only ensure your directory has a short lifetime and will slide into doom n gloom.

IMO that's the best way to go with, that way you give people more options.

Check the Paid Directory in my sig, it offers 4 different listings for featured and 4 different for regular. If you like it I can tell you the guy who installed it. Also I am having the expiry mod installed by Dargre so that yearly listings will have expiry dates in the detail pages and the system will automatically send an email with a payment link before it expires as far as I know.. Also I highly recommend the deep links mod. As I said that's just my poor Idea.
