Hi there I am getting ready to launch our affiliate program through Clickbank. We're waiting on product approval at this moment (I think they must be backed up...) but we're in the process of creating a separate website for our affiliates. So, my question is, what tools do affiliates really want to see from Clickbank merchants? I personally HATE banners but we're making a few anyway. We've got some free reprint articles and some adwords text suggestions. But think of this as a "wish list" of sorts - what tool would make a difference to you, as an affiliate, in choosing to promote one product over another? Feel free to be creative or as demanding as you wan t (A little about our company, just an FYI: We're an ebook publishing company with one ebook on the market that's gotten some great reviews. (www.littlewhiteebook.com). We plan on publishing about 15 more ebooks in our line, but quality takes time...We did the "test run" through Google Checkout and Adwords only, yielding a 1/68 conversion ratio. Our CTR was a steady 4 to 5% across the board. So we know our ebook sells... )
I like some suggestions for landing pages. Perhaps few examples that can be modified for affiliate's needs. A few keyword rich articles. And finally adword ad suggestions.
Rebrandable PDFs, ideally excerpts from your main product. Rebrandable autoresponder article series. Squeeze pages, preferably with video, promoting both of the above.
there's nothing more convenient than nice, ready made banners right from a vendor's page...and putting them on Google placement-targeting...and also buy some banner space here on the forum from related sites and have banners run for $20 or so a month.

Hi there Thanks everyone for your input. We've got a rather long to-do list If you have any more suggestions, keep them coming
What would you say has the biggest impact for the lowest cost? i.e. what order should this be done in? For instance, a rebrandable ebook would take more time than a banner. I think I would start with banners first.
Well, the easiest thing for me to do was throw together my first 3 chapters as a preview, which is what I am offering affiliates now until I have finished a free ebook. My book is a LOT longer than most CB products, it's about 220 pages and after the next update, it's going to be even longer. So 3 chapters isn't too much to giveaway... If I had a 50 page product, I wouldn't want to give away any of it. Rebrandable articles are also cool - I already have a few people using them and click are coming in. I outsourced those, for the most part, then polished them up.
I like to get ready to send out emails (and I prefer a complete short ecourse) for affiliate products that I promote via my autoresponder.
OOH, I love the articles idea. That's a rare affiliate tool from merchants. Good looking out. Other than that, I agree with some of the other suggestions such as rebrandable PDF's, we love those. Email messages are good too. You could even toss in a good keyword suggestion list for good measure. Sheree
With the articles idea I don't know how effective that would be because you would have hundreds of affiliates using the same content more than likely and duplicating it all over.
Dropship, you always need to re-write the promotional articles, and add your own twist to it, insert your own writing style, so your subscribers know that YOU wrote it first hand.
Yes, exactly. It's not that hard to give an article a flavor of your own. The thing is, I don't like to promote products that I don't own because of reviewing them. What price range is this product in? Sheree
Hey Sheree All of my affiliates get a free review copy of the eBook, The Little White Ebook of Homeshoring Jobs. You just have to join the update letter. The price for the ebook is $29.95 and users get free updates forever You can learn more about the product at LittleWhiteEbook.com or visit the affilaite site at LittleWhiteEbook.info
