I will agree about Dell support. I absolutely HATE Dell hardware, but I'm stuck with a couple of servers at work for awhile (until they completely die and I can get some HP racks). I will have to say that their support rocks. Had a hard drive die on me and they sent someone with a replacement within the hour!! And they didn't treat me like an idiot on the phone either. I usually get from other tech support lines the run around about if I tried "this" or did you try "that" for an hour until they figure out I've already done everything possible and I'm not a moron. Just had to tell Dell that I did several diagnostic tests, failed every one of them, please send another drive.....BAM....done in five minutes and the hard drive was on the way!!! I only wish they had a warranty like HP does where you can pay $50 more on your warranty and keep any hard drive that dies so you are not sending your data to god knows who.....

From what I know, I think the Server is located in his house.

data centers are everywhere, when you co-locate a server, you own the server and you look after it, you pay for bandwidth used and rent for the space your server takes up in the data center. you just co-locate your servers in data center near you.

    makes perfect sense to me

It's still loading pretty fast for running on one DB server. That was so nice of Dell to show up too. :)

Thanks for staying up all night for us, Shawn!

Some hours back i read in Reader's Digest about two initiatives of Dell - dell connect and something about customer forums. And thought that's another customer responsive cell that would do nothing. take my thoughts back. Michael Dell still rocks at 42

The feeling of someone from Dell coming at midnight to you personally in order to do a job for you must be great :).
