Has your account been downgraded before?
    If not,just contact paypal....

However,I'd suggest you creating another personal account..

Just be sure that when you downgrade to the personal account, you do not accept payments from any sales as that might alert Paypal to the abuse and at which point they will levy a fee for each transaction.

The personal account as the name suggested is not for using to make money with. You can however receive small irregular amounts from friends but pretty much that's it.

I never asked to Paypal to change my account, so is the first time I need to change account type.

What's the e-mail in order to contact Paypal about that problem?

Worldix, PayPal will tell you that you are using a premier account IF you had a personal account before. When someone sends you a credit card payment, they will give you a screen saying "In order to receive this payment you must upgrade". You click "Accept" or "Upgrade" or some similarly named button, and you receive your credit card payment.

If you want to upgrade, just contact PayPal (I believe the link is "Help" at the top of your screen, then Contact Us on the right side of the following screen), and tell them you want to downgrade to a Personal account.

Why not to create a personal account as well? PayPal allows an individual to have one personal and one premier/business account. Else, just contact em and they will downgrade BUT remember downgrading is allowed only for once.

I have upgraded to premier and find it funny that the variable charges are not stable. Sometimes they charge me 3% and at time upto 6% - the fees disclaimer suggests a max of 3.4%. What's happening ?

That's one of the reasons why I downgraded my account from premier to personal account. :)

Well, it is actually not variable. There is a fixed component and a variable component to the fees. So the higher the dollar amount, the lower the percentage per se.

Typically you are looking at 2.9% + $0.30 if you are in the US and 3.4% + $0.30 if you are not.

Just be careful not to be found out by Paypal as the Personal account is not supposed to be used for any business purposes.

Actually I wouldn't recommend this especially if you value your account.
