Anyone else looking forward to the olympus phpbb 3 coming out, hopefully soon?

I haven't done any work with my current forums because I've been waiting for the release, so they keep getting spammed, dangit.

Can't wait for the new one!!

I'm not a fan of phpbb, I prefer Vb or the invision.

i don't think those forums are that bad either but they're not free like phpbb, where those cost around 200 or 300 dollars and you have to pay continually for support.

phpbb3 is already out. They have several releases that are in RC stages still though.

It has some REALLY nice features and very customizable. The only downside is there isn't a whole lot of support/mods out for it as of yet.

Yeah, the RC versions are out now so I've been thinking since they're almost perfect I might as well wait a couple of weeks and get the real "real" release so I don't have to worry about updating from an RC, if they even allow that.

Hmm maybe I should check that out and not be so lazy..
