Can You Survive Without Google?

This is a really important question we should all ask ourselves.

What if for some unknown reason your site/s disapeared from the Google SERPs?

It is a a possibility - even if you are doing everything 100% right - Google sometimes messes up and you could find yourself deindexed - its rare but does happen.

Or maybe you get stictched up by a competitor or break their webmaster guidelines without realizing it.

If id DID happen - could you survive without it?

This is an important question we should ask ourselves because if we can't then we need to work on securing other traffic.

I think John Chow is a perfect example of a site that got the boot by Google and still prospers.

john chow is still in google, and I'm sure he felt it in the pocket, less traffic = less advertisers

Either I am suffering from De Ja Vue or your posting the same question you did last week. If it was worth asking again I would probably ignore it, but seriously its not an issue.

Not now, but as time goes, I will expand my network and make it less dependent on google organic search.

survive without google, survive without adsense etc...

It is always good to diversify incomes, traffic resources, but it's not so easy, to beat player with that position like Google has.

    1) Google has aroung 55% of search engine market, not 100%. Yahoo number #2 in 20% range.
    2) For some specific demographics Yahoo and MSN are just fine. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=299522

Definitely GOOGLE is just a part and there are many things coming to give google competition and YPN is getting more good day by day but due to it's limited mobility it is facing problems or YPN also is as good as Adsense...
