According to wordpress release notes 2.3.1-RC1 version have already been active at all "fantastico".. so some of my plugins aren't working with new one update and i just want downgrade... or upload with 2.2.1-RC2 wordpress version.. Anyone know, some step how can i do that for new site + for old sites too.. ?
yeah, seem like... i tried already.. but maybe someone know how to make possible to use old "plaugins" database.. for this new version
You can downgrade just as if you would upgrade manually. Copy/overwrite all the file in your blogs directory except the the plugins folder and the themes folder that are in the wp-content folder. Then run upgrade.php at your blogs URL: www.yoursite.com/blog/wp-admin/upgrade.php I have done this few times
Well, most popular plugins will have upgrades for newer wp versions...have you checked if there are any updates to them?
but he is using fantastico. that is the problem. i always suggest my friends to install wordpress manually by uploading the files via FTP. dont use fantastico. i really don't like it. dont know why. but in your case, i think it is better for you to deactivate the plugin for a moment. wait for the plugin author to upgrade their plugin though. -cypher.
if you have a backup of your old db it should be easy WP has a release archive http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ If you dont have a backup I dont think it could be done. I'm not positive but I think that wp2.3 has a different db structure than 2.2. Good luck
back up you wordpress files and data base then try to download the old version and overwrite the old files ....
