So does "an idiot". Doesn't mean it's worth anything more than a couple bucks though :)

anidiot.com will be worth a lot at least xxxxx, I think. If a domain does not worth something to you, it might mean a lot to others at the same time. Value depends on the buyer. For me yourl.com will be worth only $xx but sold $5000.

Very true, ryukenden. "Value depends on the buyer."

Do you honestly think you will find a serious buyer for anurl.com priced at $30,000 ?
If not, what will you do with the domain?

    Just curious :)

    I agree that YoUrl.com is a heck of a sale for $5,000.

Why do you think AnUrl.com is worth even close to 6 times that of YoUrl?? It doesn't makes sense (at least not in english).

I'd stick with your web directory thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=552240

If you find the right buyer you can probably get high $xx-low $xxx. Still a great return since you registered it in january. $30k is extremely unrealistic but I wish you luck.

Nice thread. I remember on another forum when a guy was trying to sell PRDeal.com for some crazy amount. Everyone got a good laugh out of it. Anyway, I would go with the directory plan. I think it'll work out much better for you :)

Sorry, if you're going to compare "yourl" with "an url" in google search results, you need to do it as "yourl" vs "anurl", which in your case - returns 639. "Yo url" returns 10.3 million, "You rl" returns 26.2 million, "your l" returns 898 million. What does this mean? Jack shit, kind of like what your domain is worth. Good luck though, I personally wouldn't even pay $30 for it :)

You don't even know how to check certain words. You have to put in open and close inverted commans like "yo url" and "an url" when you search in google. Without that "an url" will come up with more than 688 millions search results.

If you search "yo url" properly, it is only 31,000 results.

I like to suggest to you to learn how to use search engine properly.

use a search engine properly? you don't even know how to use one yourself. the search results don't mean shit.

anurl gets 0 searches according to wordtracker

an url gets 92 searches according to wordtracker

its a worthless term that nobody looks for anyway and thats all the domain had going for it. And i guarantee that if you gave me 50$ i could rank on the first page for both terms within 2 weeks. Your domain is crap for what your making it out to be. Remember kid, searches don't mean anything. The big number you see is the number of results that came back and 90% of them have nothing to do with the term you searched.

So educate yourself before you start telling people how to use something you don't know how to.

    hi

Who are you? Are you an SEO expert? I visited your .info site and it needs improving as well and so I think you are not an expert in this web world. You are still learning. Am I right?

Search results mean a lot, man. Everyone knows about it. The more search results come , the better the keyword is. It is a rule of thumb. I said a domain might not worth for someone but could mean a lot for others.

I was talking about how I compare in my first post. You have to put specific search to know how many searches throughout search engine. You have to put "an url" or an+url to make proper searches.

No boday is perfect. We all are learning.

    So let's say I have a domain ACLOSED.COM

    Results 1 - 10 of about 673 for anurl
    Results 1 - 10 of about 29,700 for aclosed

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,320,000 for "an url"
    Results 1 - 10 of about 38,400,000 for "a closed"

Based on your theory, "The more search results come , the better the keyword is"
I can say that the keyword "aclosed" is at least 30 times better than keyword "anurl".

    Do you agree?
