Yes, make sure you follow all the rules listed in the TOS. You can post a link here if you need someone to review your placement.

Isn't against the Adsense TOS ? let's say "our" ads willl be placed instead of the "Sponsored links" on "our" search engine ...let's make search engines ... and the true is ?

if you don't have content and only a search box, i think it's against adsense TOS

It's not allowed. I asked AdSense already. Try e-mailing them directly if you decide to try anyways.

I did not read anything about not putting ads on search pages when I read the TOS last night, but then again it was a bloody complicated read (and I'm no idiot).

One thing I did see, and I point this out because quite a few people (from here and the internet in general) have said this should be done, is this:

    (v) display any Ad(s), Link(s), or Referral Button(s) on any error page, on any registration or "thank you" page (e.g., a page that thanks a user after he/she has registered with the applicable Web site), on any chat page, in any email, or on any Web page or any Web site that contains any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content.

I am pretty sure you can put "Advertisement" or "Sponsored Links" and then the ads following that...
