Nice post, you posted before me, but answered my question, haha...

I did forget about this instance, and there were a few similar occurrences where an outlet when too far... Leaks are a dangerous game, they can be great (such as revealing corruption), or expose some to unnecessary danger...

Anyways, I'm not too proud, GTech brings up the point that there is a "too far"...

There is a too far to either extreme. But if you aren't aware of the extremes, you can't gain a centrist perspective.

More outsourcing of thinking. The left hates the right, and the right hates the left. But at the end of it all, we decide what we choose to believe. Both sides are out there, perhaps not presented on the same channel, or in the same format, but it's all available and more if you follow mid-east news bureaus.

But people have to stop outsourcing their thinking to pundits, news casters, etc. The liberal (or conservative) media isn't the problem, it's apathy and laziness.

I sold my car a few years back, and since I don't own one, I wouldn't be able to put an infowars bumper sticker on it. But you know Ly2, that is a great idea, and if I had a car I would be sure to get one. Maybe I should email the Infowars.com bumper sticker idea to Alex and see if they like it. :)

I love the media. A free media is a powerful source of defense against the potential tyranny of govt.

Print media is better than TV media. TV media is part show and part news. The harder the bite and show of a TV media person the more it is entertainment and the less it is newsworthy or opinion worthy.

There is no showmanship within an article. It might be strong and well written but it doesn't come with visual antics.

Villifying the media either as the liberal media, the conservative media, the vast right wing conspiracy, etc. merely serves to move the public from looking at the reality of issues into topics that detract from the core issues.

Dictatorships control media. Dictatorships eliminate laws that protect human rights.

When govts such as ours intrude on these elements they are stealing the very essence of what is strong about the United States.

That's cute how you say people are brainwashed, while not looking at yourself in the mirror first.

He doesn't have a car, so it definitely would not be a rear view mirror. :D

I think it is hard to deny that media in general is pretty far left. I've got family in the military, and most will tell you that the media generally overlooks the good things that happen in Iraq. That is also what the far left do. They only want to focus on certain things when they have an agenda.

Well, this is one of the unique times in American history, as typically wars are started by the Democrats, the left. This is uncharted territory for the GOP, but since they have mastered the tactics of slamming liberal wars, it's not all that shocking that the LEFT would know where to hit them back.

Don't confuse war with right or left positions. The right has argued vehemently against Korea and Vietnam in the past.

I've looked at myself plenty of times in the mirror, and I know my own strengths and weaknesses. But I also know history, and I understand what Edward Bernays said in his book Propaganda. Let me guess, you've never heard of Bernays right?

The general public is brainwashed, always has been. Just like Black Friday, when millions of morons packed shopping outlets across America because they were told to shop by Corporate America and the media.

It doesn't sound like you're very well versed in history. If you were, you would know that a handful of elites have always brainwashed the masses since the dawn of human civilization.

That's absurd, tesla. People shop because they want a good deal. And a damn many good deals were to be had. Up till this year, I've rarely paid attention to Black Fridays. This year, I paid attention. I let some good stuff go by that I could have saved hundreds (thousands cumulatively on).

At amazon.com, I registered and voted on a Samsung 46" flatscreen TV that retails for $1800, to purchase for $710.00 Not because anyone told me to, but because I'm in the market for one, and that was one HECK of a deal.

Your response is typical "alex jones" fashion. You are above EVERYONE else in your intelligence, and only those who get their news from alex jones "really" know what is going on in the world. Talk about hypocrisy, I remember the day alex jones had an interview with Ron Paul on his site. You rushed over to inform everyone that they should vote for Ron Paul.

Perhaps the problem isn't *everyone* else?

Media in general is a threat as they tend to over exhadurate and pin to tunnel vision as to get ratings and create propaganda in a way to get more views. Though some are benefical and try to stay main stream and give an unbias documentary most go the other way. Depends on your belief as to what you want to believe and what you dont..lol

    It should say:

    America's worse enemy: Itself.
