All the SEO tricks and I still can't get indexed

I have a website with PR4 (http://www.glisodin.org) which is reasonably well-placed in search...recently I spun off a sister site (http://research.glisodin.org) which is well-linked to the main site. I took a bunch of measures to make this sister site search-friendly, e.g.

It's a Wordpress blog hosted on my own domain.
I use SEO-friendly plugins to optimize title tags and sitemaps.
I've got a decent collection of inbound links which is growing.
I've submitted to Google, Yahoo, MSN.
I've authenticated in Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo Site Explorer.
I've set up Feedburner with Ping Shot and all the other bells & whistles.

Yet I'm getting nowhere; Google and Yahoo will not index my site! (MSN has indexed.) This all happened at least three months ago.

Any ideas why I can't seem to get in there? Are Google and Yahoo treating this differently because it's a subdomain perhaps?

    Thanks.

One of my domains took like 3 months for being indexed. perhaps it's just bad luck and you need to wait more

Try getting another blog to write a blog posts about you. That usually gets our sites indexed within 12 hours.

You'll need to get a backlink from a site that is crawled frequently. Roughly, the crawl frequency/rate is based on the PageRank. The higher the PR the more frequent the crawling. This forum is a PR 6 site so just post your site in your signature line and it will get picked up within a couple of weeks if not sooner.

    Good luck.

Did you try Google Webmaster Central for confirmation that site is/isn't indexed. Maybe banned?

Sandbox has nothing to do here. You need to be indexed to be in the sandbox

If Google can't find the robots.txt file then you won't get crawled.

http://research.glisodin.org/robots.txt?? Seems like you haven't got one.

I should clarify.. Google's help tells you that the absence of robots.txt file will allow the bots to crawl the entire site.
I had a site that wasn't getting listed so I submitted it to webmaster tools with a sitemap. I got a message the next day saying no robots.txt found.. blah blah, possible problems, can't remember exactly what the message was but it basically said without a robots.txt file the Googlebots won't or might not crawl because it's unsure where it should and shouldn't look. Anyway, I uploaded the file and started getting indexed within a week.
