Scammer Alert. Stay Away from 'Els1'. Scammed me $90

    Hello peeps..

Just thought I would report a scammer.
The member can be found here.

I opened a sales thread to sell a video downloading website.
    Here's the sales thread.
The thread was closed on my request.

Els1 pm'd me (I can provide proof) saying that he was ready to BIN the site at $90 (even though I had decreased the BIN to $35).

He made the payment, I transferred the files/domain, etc. Everything was cool.
Today, when I logged into my paypal account, I had a claim pending my reply. The reason was 'unauthorized transaction'.

Most probably, it was either a hacked account, or he deliberately charged back.
I've replied to the dispute mentioning that I can provide proof.
    Now it awaits his reply.

Just a warning. Stay away from this guy.!!
Even with 30 iTraders... he is a scammer!

    Screenshot attached.
    Contacting Namecheap right now

He also scammed that guy, and attempted to scam me.

He sent me a pm saying:

"Me and my friend are interested..." The 'friend' part made me go to the next pm.

Btw, doesnt matter if you can provide proof to paypal, if it was filed as 'unauthorized transaction', paypal wont be on your side.

    Lifetalk, you wont get anything.
Paypal will give back his money, I have had same issue with a DP member who put unauthorized transaction on me after i sold him my ebook. That is why never keep ur money in paypal.

    Yup.. it sure is! :S

Everybody thought so. You don't expect a 30iTrade member to be a scammer? But i guess itrade can't be trusted anymore... unless you have atleast 50 of them, or are reputed

This is my first time this month, and I hope it is the last time for as long as I am here :)

We can't trust itrader anymore. So what do we trust the person on. :( May be if they offered that service before and the customers liked it. What do you think?

Would you care sharing his paypal address? (even if it is in private)
I tell you this because over a year ago I had a deal with Els1 ($3 deal :p) where I've bought some banner space from him and I know his paypal address.

I am confused, you listed the site at BIN for $60 and lowered it to $35 in the thread but you said he bought it for $90 BIN. First clue that it might not be legit. Second by reading the thread, I am confused rather you were selling a site or just a domain name. I do not know and I advise you ask the buyer but that could be the reason he charged back because he thought he was buying a site.

It is also never advisable to do transactions outside of a thread. You did this by conducting the sell by PM. You have no real recourse because Paypal does not cover digital sales and you can not leave ITrader because you did this through PM. Looks like you bought yourself a life lesson. "If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is."

So if this guy is walking around scamming people here, why do I only see that ONE of you left him negative iTrader? You start these threads to warn others, but if you really wanted to warn people, leave him iTrader so others will know in the future....It's very frustrating that people don't use the feedback system just because they are afraid of getting a negative back. Trust the system!!!!

Well, I'd say, yeah. Do it that way. Trust a person only if he has had satisfied clients before

I'll PM you soon. That could be helpful

Well, if he wanted a refund, he could have asked me. He charges back, does not push the domain back to me at all. Do you think he was after a 'legit' transaction in the first place?

And furthermore, if he had not read the sales thread, he would have not known that Giantvideos was for sale. He read the thread, and then pm'd me. Means, it was clear to him, that the BIN was at $35.
    *sigh*

NO idea. Just have his paypal email address. Namecheap says they can't help since it was a private sale rather than through their marketplace.
While paypal shows a 'reply awaiting from other party' status

I can't leave him an iTrader because he never responded to the thread. So, leaving a negative one would mean, me abusing the rules. I just received an infraction for posting this thread. Don't want any more red points on me!

    You're welcome

    you bet..!!
