I have a site and blog... I use adsense on my site and get about 1000 impressions per day :)rolleyes: I know it's low lol) I do not use adsense on my blog currently because of my monetizing plan.

Now my problem is I don't want to put adsense on my site for about 6 months(again a plan  lol) Will I be banned for the sudden drop in impressions?

No. You can remove and ad AdSense ads whenever you please.

But I had read in a technology magazine called Digit (a magazine in India visit www.thinkdigit.com) that a sudden drop in impression may lead to ban. I am not sure if the magazine is right but it had a pretty good proof to prove it.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than I've e-mailed AdSense about this in the past. Also, there is nothing forcing you to keep AdSense on your website. E-mail them directly at .

Based on personal experience, no, your account will not get banned. I've gone from 500 impressions a day to 3, now I'm back up to 500. This was over a period of six or more months.

    You'll be fine...

Is there a link to the article somewhere online? I'd be interested in seeing how this was worded.

No actually they don't do that (loss for them I suppose lol) but if you visit www.thinkdigit.com you can see the cover of the magazine which you maybe interested.

don't think you will get banned for taking out adsense from your sites. but if you had good impression numbers with high revenue and suddenly it dropped to almost no traffic while still having ads actives on site, then maybe adsense could have a reason to worry about and take drastic measures if needed.

    I completely agree with webwiz.

What Google is looking for is traffic patterns/fluctuations that would appear to be fraudulent. Removing Adsense from the site certainly would justify the drop in impressions, so have no fear.

not too worry, that is normal. you will not going to get ban from google just because of the drop of the page impression. However, if you are not very sure, feel free to email to google.

Its on you to put adsense or any other network in your site.
T took off adsense in a heavy traffic site a couple of times and reinstated it. I faced no problem at all.

No. I doubt it. Mainly because there is nothing that says you cant remove the adsense code from your site on the TOS
