Google Ads now have a phone number shown on ads. New Feature!

I noticed that Google Ads now have a phone number present on their ads. This will probably lower click through ratios to the website because the contact information is already shown. I haven't seen this in the past so think it's a new feature. An image is shown below of an ad with a phone number:

i think its a feature of Skype Messager..

I have been putting phone numbers in ads for eleven months here in Oz. If you are advertising a business and not so much an affiliate link it can save you money because people may call your business instead of clicking! Truly free advertising.

 

This is indeed the skype plugin in action. It simply converts phone numbers to a clickable link. Nothing to do with Google.

cianuro is right. It's just a plugin from having Skype on your computer. You can just click that link and call right from your computer with Skype.

I'm a website owner and I block ads that display telephone number in them. I do email the advertiser to let them decide after I block their ads.
