Adsense is even worse now that they've changed the clickable area for ads!

I'm really looking for a good Google replacement besides YPN! Has anyone else made the switch recently with good results?

Most of the websites I run are centered around video games (in case someone else is in a similiar situation).

It's quite hard for me to test any other publisher network, altough my earnings are decreased but still google have a cap of reliability and I am getting some decent amount every month, without any wait for a longer time via western union.

Do your income rely on accident clicks?

If you think you're doing bad, just think how much revenue is Google loosing since they changed the clickable areas on the ads.
They will earn much less money now from their main source of profit....

I agree they are losing money, but not much less. My reason being is that it is still ON for premium publishers, where I am sure they make a lot of their money. IF they made more money from smaller publishers, they wouldn't have changed it, IMO. Keeping the old ads for premium publishers shows that they make a LOT of money with them compared to non-premium.

I tried widgetbucks for a bit. Great pay per click, but alot of people say they wont pay. Plus I found a niche from google that pays about 1.20 a click.

My earnings are back up. Are you using any other advertising companies? Try kontera.

I don't know how this would really affect someone who really wanted to click on an ad.

I am finding number of clicks has gone down only slightly, some days the CTR is similar to what it was. THe effect of this has not been much.

    My CTR stayed the same.

Change the adsense link color to the color of the major links on your website, and you will see your CTR slowly returning to its previous state.

Its all about blending the ads...those who do not wish to blend the ads or are just to lazy they can expect CTR drops up to 50%!!

This is an excellent decision from Google as many accidental clicks will be prevented and Adsense publishers will be forced to blend the ads.

We're giving real estate to google on our websites surely they should have an option to allow publishers not to show the text?

Google wants to prevent accidental clicks? - How about smaller ad formats
Google wants to protect advertisers? - How about making adwords better, more reporting on the content network, easier to block sites, better analytics on visitors from the content network.

Because google is so big they can change whatever they like knowing that most people won't jump ship.

Imagine a smaller advertising network doing this! It will be all over for them.

Kontera is pretty terrible. I've been using them on one of my forums for like 6 months. I'm actually probably going to remove them (or at the very least disable the ads for members).

They also slow the pages down and I think these ads piss people off the most.

You guys can keep complaining but I'm doing wonderful as and adwords user right now. Conversions through the roof!!!!!! I have a small income from adsense (mainly because i don't focus on it too much). I am the adwords man. :D

But this means your price per click is going to sky rocket.
