well, my unlce doesn't know that much about PC's and i am a web designer and i am OK with computers....so yesterday his kids were downloading games from interent and playing them...and then the screen went black...
they turned the pc back on again...and the whole desktop was changed i think and he lost all his photos...over 500 photos new and old...:(
i tried to help him by downloading these recovery software but i couldn't see any photos or images....

i don't know what to do now...

Looks like you won't be able to get the photos back if the recovery software failed.

i think this is due to virus so there may be no recovery of your photos.
Downloading and installing some programs may be harmful due to virus threats.
You should have a good anti virus installed in your pc to prevent such things in future.

Try something like Recuva, or PhotoRec.
You might get a few files back. But I'm guessing you've been using the computer, and trying various things, which has probably only made it more difficult to recover anything :(

Make DAILY backups of anything you consider important. There's plenty of backup software out there that can do this "invisibly", you won't even know it's happening.
I make a daily backup to a separate physical drive, and a weekly backup to an external offsite drive. With the price of storage these days, losing data without a backup is just unnecessary.

Learn a lesson. You're lucky it was only 500 photos.

Did you even read the thread? Suggest me?

System Restore will not recover your lost photos. This recovers your operating system's lost data.
may be hard drive recovery services will help you. but i am doubtful.
