Really, i'm ... I've been using CJ for a website of mine that will list EBay auctions. Users can click them and go to EBay to bid on them. I would then get a percentage through the CJ app. At the moment I'm not having lots of traffic. However, before I'm going to invest time & money to get people to my website, I'd like to first know if my only source of income really works. If I look in the reports, I don't see any clicks, and income whatsoever. Even though, I did get ~600 targeted visitors that at least would have clicked once or twice. I'd expect at least 10 clicks??? So, what's up with all this CJ? Is there a trick? I used links like: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1...07&ih=004&category=53297&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1 to make sure that I can get paid. These links contain the SID, AID and PID that would make it possible to get my percentage... Anything that you can think of that I'm doing wrong?
Not sure if you did it on purpose but your link doesn't have your affiliate id, it has "CJ_AID" instead. You need to put your cj affiliate id in that location for clicks to register as coming from you.
it does have his PID it does not have the affiliate ID which of course is ebay, but same thing, cj needs the AID to process the data
Thanks mrmonster! This appears to be something I overlooked. I accidentally renamed the config variable to EBAY_AID which resulted in this bug. Are there any other things that I should take not of to make sure everything works ok? Thanks again (also to mcjp6)!
good job you were on the ball and figured it out before you lost much potential business! i did the same thing on my site, i had forgotten to add the cj id. i also figured it out quick thankfully! =D
always, always, always check that your links do work ie do they take you where they should? and most important that they have yours and the merchants id's otherwise you will be throwing away potential sales good luck
