I know this question may have been asked many time as to how many sites you own but most importantly how regularly you update it? It's easy to own 10 - 20 sites each making $1/day but how to keep it updated??

i have about 5 established sites, 3 out of 5 are user generated content, so those are not needing any updates from me. only site improvement, tweaks. my other 2 sites i add content regularly.

So far only 2 site, i think 1 to 3 site is enough for us.
    20 site that's too many.

I have two sites, and I update/add content to them at least 4 times a week. One of my sites is a blog, so all I usually do for that is add a new post, which only takes 5 or so minutes. I am probably going to try to get about 4 or 5 sites going (most blogs) that I regularly update. More than 5, and it starts requiring some significant time just to add new content to each site and to promote and drive traffic to each website/blog.

I have 8 sites, 2 of them have user generated content, 1 is a blog so needs updating, 1 is static, 1 requires updating every so often and the other 3 are eBay sites that only require improvements by me.

I have 2 sites, and one blog:
Site #1 (my money maker) - my users update for me (user-generated content is the best!)
Site #2 - I pay someone to update 3 times per week
My Blog: I update a few times per week..

So how much does your forums make?
Site #2 is it a blog or something?
Site #3 is your blog a earner?

    I have 3 cash cows, one's a myspace site, one's a forum, and one's a blog.

Usually with 10-20 sites they are poor quality unless you are really experienced with web designs and creative. Focus on 2-3 and actually update/work on them. Once they start making money and you feel like you can move on to something else.... move on. 10-20 while making barely nothing everyday is really not worth it. Wow... 10-20 sites... are you making $1 TOTAL/day or $1 a day/site?

hehe.. I currently have 1 blog.. that I update with 3-4 postings daily.. find it hard to find the time to work on 1 blog so how can I manage 10-20 sites :O the reason I asked this question because I have read it many books that it's better to own 10-20 sites that earn $1 rather to own 1 site and try to focus to make upto $20 from that site alone.. but when I started my blog i found it impractical to maintain so many sites..

I have my main website that I spend about 2-3 hours on a day. Sometimes I'll do more hours because fortunately it's a niche that I've been a fan of since I was a kid.

I just started my 2nd site. I spend about 15 minutes a day on that one.
