I'm very new to making money online, all I have ever done is run a blog or two - that weren't great quality anyway. I currently make 2 cents as day with Adsense, and I don't consider it even worth recording. A little about me? I'm 18 years old, and I'm currently attending Georgia Tech. I work for Lockheed Martin as a "still in training" aerospace engineer, and for NASA during the summer as a paid intern. I have a passion for knowledge, I love publishing various things on the internet, I play guitar, I have my MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) degree, I enjoy network administration, competitive swimming, and I may start working for the US Air Force next year as a F-22 Crew Chief or pilot depending on whether or not I decide to go out for my pilots program in a few semesters. So without further to say, lets get down to business. My ultimate goal by January 1st, 2008: 20USD a day. My circumstances: 1. The only money I will spend will be for domains. I own webspace, so hosting them won't be a problem. 2. I'll have a little over a month to complete all of this. 3. I will not fill out surveys. 4. I will not do things on commission (make a sig every now and then, fill out a survey, post X amount of times on some forum, are all examples of things I will not do.) , I want to make a solid 20 dollars a day. 5. I will not give out any personal information for "special offers" such as credit card numbers, home addresses, ect. The only information I have given out is tax information for Google Adsense. 6. I want solid suggestions on how to reach my goal, I want serious advice from serious users that have "been there, done that". I'm not a lazy person, and I'm willing to work towards any plausible solution that is given to help me reach my goal of a persistent 20USD a week. 7. I will launch no more than 5 domains. 8. All suggestions need to be things that will last, and that I can expand and grow upon. No "special reports" or "simple projects" that will only last a few days.I want to slowly grow. 9. I'm not heavily familiar with every term in the book, but I'm not stupid. So feel free to elaborate upon any acronym you use. 10. I'm familiar with most forms of object oriented programming. 11. I will be very active within this thread, responding quickly and frequently. 12. I'm literally going from "nothing" to "something", so keep that in mind while suggesting. ------------------------------------------- News: 11/25/2007 - Project started. I've started collecting ideas. I will get as many possibilities as I can tonight, and then concentrate in on the ones I like best and start putting them into action first thing tomorrow morning. ------------------------------------------- Current Ideas & Suggestions: 1. (rcj662) - Make a blog about nasa and have affiliate links for posters and other things people would like. ------------------------------------------- Financial Update: 11/25/2007 - $1.02 from Adsense earnings off my personal blog. Still not really worth recording. ------------------------------------------- ATTENTION - If you read this thread, you do not have to participate... but just posting a simple "I support your goal." will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Make a blog about nasa and have affiliate links for posters and other things people would like. You will make more than adsense any day.
You can easily make $20 a day by promoting adult friend finder or one of the other sites in their network. They pay like $1.00 per unique IP visitor and more if the visitor signs up for free membership (females earn you more btw). It's something I'm playing with this week and I can earn anywhere from $20-$50 a day depending on how much I promote. If I spend at least an hour promoting around the internet I will get $20. You can do it too!
Where do you submit application to affiliate and get ad codes? Not to mention, I'm not a fan of AdultFriendFinder anyway - I would rather do something I would enjoy more. I wouldn't be able to respect myself if I started to advertise soft-porn ads, it's like cheating. That sounds like something I would enjoy doing. How would I go about obtaining affiliates?
Relient - $20/day sounds like a great goal! If you keep your eyes set on the prize and if you have patience, you can easily reach that goal. Your NASA blog idea sounds great. I would create either a website or some type of blog and promote affiliates such as posters like you said. A great place to get affiliates would be a website like cj.com. Adsense also will be a great bet as well. Create content, optimize your blog for search engines, and network with other related bloggers. Good Luck!
yeah, a blog on topics you like would motivate you to write posts to get the steady traffic, attract links. just find some high tech offers that pay more per action than adsense. when you say you dont want to do commissions, traffic that stays steady to a site promoting a high paying affiliate program would make you constant money. but for nasa/spaceflight blog, maybe promote flight simulator software games at www.regnow.com with one example product found here , or make a network admin blog and promote study courses, try to find a product that works for your audience, work with goals they have, to make your own goals
Why not write articles for Article Directories? You do blog... so you must enjoy writing don't you? Start with that.... promote some CB product or any other products you find is right. Hope that helps.
Unless there is something I am missing then you would be making $20 in hour. You can get some shitty job making more than that. It would depend where you live obviously. It would of been great if you worked for one hour on the internet promoting and then you were getting $20 per day everyday there after. That would make sense.
Thats the kind of commission work I'm talking about, I want to be able to implement a project and then be able to make $20+ a day from that point on, having options of expansion. The reason I don't like commissions on the internet, is because I don't want to have to work an X amount of time every time I want to earn $20. However I occasionally do web design projects for something like $80 per page, but that's a different story.
I definately support your goal. I'm with you in your quest to make $20 a day. I prefer not to use affiliate marketing but it seems thats where the bulk of money is made unless you have TONS of traffic.
