I see it every hour on DP. Of course there are both sides of the story to them. A small sub-forum for it where members can post all there issues and announcements on there scammers there would be great!
Just a suggestion that will probablly be ignored, anyways have a good day! :D

Sounds like a good idea, I am seeing them post all over the place. People seem eager to hand their money/goods over to just anyone it seems

I agree and understand this problem.

But I've been told so many times that "it's the responsibility of the buyer"

I, personally think that digitalpoint as a forum that provides this enviroment should take steps to take care of it.

There is iTrader facility which shows the reviews you had. The forum isn't something going to be looked much unless the member is scammed himself.

It is a nice idea, however, I read on this topic many months ago that the owner of DP did not want to make a folder exclusively for this as it may have a negative impact. Bad publicity.. Gun slingin' , etc... I also read that General chat is the place to put the scammer threads...

Probably not the answer you wanted (completely). Nice suggestion! :)

you understand that idiot #1 gets scammed by someone?
can you just explain how there are 200 threads on DP and 500 posts about being scammed doing an illegal money exchange, and idiot 500 steps up to the line and does one then gets scammed and bitches about it.

just how is DP responsible for 500 morons doing an illegal act of money exchange?

maybe you would like DP to pay out compensation too?

sorry but you are an idiot if you think DP is responsible or has any obligation to anyone that is dealing in illegal money exchanges.

what is it to do with you? i can just make a thread and post that you just scammed me of $500, who do you think people would believe? no matter how much you say you didn't.

thats why DP gives out the infractions to people posting the scammer threads, to make sure they think twice before they post.

just because i can photoshop better than you can would back up my claim and your name wouldn't be worth anything on DP. and as mods can not look into the scams, then you are stuck with what you have now.

how? i post you scammed me so everyone blanks you? see above reply

DP members that get involved in illegal money exchanges has nothing to do with DP.
DP could ban posts about money exchanges, but that wouldn't stop the problem, it would just drive it underground and more people would get scammed.

in the open as it is, you can use the search and find the bum dealers who to avoid and the ones who to trust, it is not that hard.

the system works as it is, the idiots dont do the work to see who they can deal with safely, thats the problem. nothing more

it's like a rapist bitching that the woman he raped gave him an STD. dont you see it? if you dont want the STD. have sex with people you know and trust.

Yes - He did say that .

and I am sure it will be said again,...

It would create a overall feeling of hate . Plus like sammie said people would be starting all kinds of stuff just to kill off there competition as well.

It would be a huge battle zone for sure

    So not a good idea

Most of the 'scams' take place when large sums of money are exchanged. Often Paypal ==> eGold etc. No offense, but anyone that engages in an 'exchange' of more than $10 with a member of a forum that they do not know and does not have a SUPER excellent reputation is an idiot.

Obviously when you're scammed out of websites etc due to a chargeback that's different, but then again it is easier to pursue a claim for that. :)

90% of the scams on DP are money trading, the others are charge backs for sites/services paid for then charged back.

the only way to deal with the scam problem is to take away the scam.

ban anyone that trades in money exchanges from this moment onwards, would stop all the scam threads and money exchange threads and bring DP back to a more credible peaceful and enjoyable site to do real business on.

sure you can if your a dumbass, the link leads to a page where you enter a url to check your site stats, how fucking big do you want it to be? the page is allowed to have ads on it.

its the home page and it has a function to do with the site numbnuts

now i have looked at you and your posting habits, maybe you'll learn to STFU
someone makes a post asking for Goddady, namecheap and other domain providers coupon
and you reply with a link to a retail store coupon code provider. nothing more just the link to the home page, your post was nothing but spam, and nothing to do with the question being asked
you just put the link and no info about the link whatsoever

Thanks for that, but I wasn't talking to you, more to the OP and their link to here.

That thread was posted and their question was, precisely, " Goddady, namecheap and other domain providers coupon". The "other domain providers" isn't going to be easy to provide a full list, however it does have Godaddy codes and ones for namecheap. Considering the open-ended question it's not that far fetched for me to link to the homepage in the hope they can type in a site url. Or they can simply click here to view most registrars.

    Good morning to you too
