Im just wondering seen as ive seen things on the front page of digg with only 30/40 diggs and I know it bring a horde of traffic. Couldnt someone just make like 50 differnt user accounts, keep logging into them all and digg the same thing over and over? I dont really see why this wouldnt work
Who has time to first create 50 accounts and then log into each account from a Different IP and digg it to bring the content on first page..
Well, I'm sure they check on IP for each user so you'll have to somehow ensure that each user uses a unique IP. It would also raise some flags if all those 50 users just vote on one particular story from another user.
People cheat Digg on a daily basis by forming networks (with users in different places, cities or even countries) and digging each other stories...
Digg is just a big cheat box where the lucky ones get good traffic. Its no longer a place where you get the hottest pages..
here in DP in the freebies section at the buy and sell forum many people are exchanging Diggs and Stumbles
i have a few invites to a networking site to give you an 'initial push' when submitting ... no guarantees but it helps just PM me ...
I agree that the quality of stories that make it to the front page has decreased. But, you don't have to cheat the system to make it to the front page. I know there are plenty of groups and programs that can give you a lot of diggs, but receiving a lot of diggs does not mean you will make it to front page, such as if you get 100 diggs in a short amount of time may not push you to the front page.
