A lot of them aren't even Jewish! In Judaism your religion is passed on through your mothers side, but in the current right to return in Israel, you are still considered "Jewish" if only your father, or even a single grandparent was Jewish. Read this story for how crazy this is: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6985808.stm
Ya, it is rather crazy i saw it on the news a few weeks ago. Most of these russian immigrants to israel are actually atheists, who dont practice any religion, they go to israel only because of the unemplyment and poverty of russia.
I spent most of 1996 in Israel. Even then, Russian immigrants were seriously disliked by the resident Israelis. They were viewed as claiming Israeli residency so that they could then claim US citizenship.
there are extremists on all sides. you just happened to be on the US side. a tiny minority that are pushing their obstructionists view toward peace. lets see oppose the peace process very vocal no room for compromise they feel 100% justified use religion in argument look backward support violence as means to achieve their goal try to demonize the other side as strategy do you see who is your mirror as of now syria has agreed to attend the mideast peace summit so that is everybody now. it is time to show support for this summit and Dr Rice in her attempt to reach a peace agreement, and for these leaders in their struggle to achieve a deal and get to the two state solution. and what are you offering as a solution?ethnic cleansing, shame on you just as on any one else that tries to derail this opportunity.
since neither side have shown any interest in this so bringing this idea up now will not serve any purpose now. we should give the parties the support to archive a solution that they can accept.
what about you are you willing to support the process to reach a compromise that israeli and palestanians can agree on
The Nazi's were secular leftists. "Nazi" means "national socialist": They were nationalists, not based upon religious principles. They were socialists. They believed in government control of business and submission of personal goals to a shared government agenda. Arafat was a roadblock to peace. His death was one of the best things to happen to the Arabs in Palestine in the last hundred years.
You know that is so true. The National Socialist German Workers Party or Nazi party more infamous leftist memeber included Alfred Rosenberg, Otto Strasser, Gregor Strasser, Ernst Rohm and Joseph Goebbels.
I dont think peace is possible because Israel continues to expand settlements in the west bank by ethnic cleansing which means the prospect of a seperate Palestinian state is nearly impossible. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7082629.stm Israel is deliberately building illegally in the westbank more than it builds in the rest of israel Personally I would like peace but i must be realistic, i don't think i will see it in my lifetime.
Haj Amin al-Husseini (d. 1974), the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem foremost leader of the movement for Palestinian liberation had reddish-blond hair and his eyes were blue.
even though. you can still support them in trying to reach an agreement. a process has started but is very young. it all depends on the people.unfortunately the minority opposing the process are very vocal and organized and the doves are disheartened and scattered.. we must allow these leaders to negotiate knowing that they have the support of a majority to proceed toward peace.there is a window of about a year maybe even less to do this. so are you going to help and support all these people trying to find a compromise
I concur that absolute peace is impossible, because human nature really doesn't work that way. But... peace and war are a sliding scale. We have enjoyed periods of more peace and less war -- and all that requires is a bit of understanding.
