I am mix race myself guys so I have no opinion on this lol but just a question. There seems to be a growing trend that there are so many indians on DP Now is this a good thing or a bad thing? What is it about DP that attracts them? Just was dying to know this, have DP run a marketing campaign in India?
I guess DP is the perfect place to get rid of the present dogma and broaden our mental horizons. DP is a common platform for writers, coders, professionals and other people of different areas and hence a perfect pace for Students. and hence the answer
India has 1.1 billion population and lot of them use English (which is not the case with the Chinese). plus low costs in India make providing web-services to the developed countries an attractive business.
it had good serps on indian datacenter joking i find three reasons one its english second.. a indian webmaster visited it , liked it referred it to friends , they referred others and then they also referred others , i say so because i was also referred third , rules on dp are quite relaxed than other webmaster forums , and indians like to be free like me

coz lots of indians r tech savvy and have a quest for knowledge..... n that quest leads them to DP......
Well being paid $100 for a person in India is a lot of money but not in America and yes it is true that India is becoming very wealthy technology-wise especially. Very soon India will become a very rich nation... Because places in the USA you wouldn't get more than a hoover for $100. I like DP compared to other Webmaster communities because there is more Buying and Selling going around .
As I believe(may not be true) alot of Indians are from text support, so they can be good writers. So they come here to make a little extra.
DP is a good way to make money for people in India. $25 a day is garbage in the US but good money in India.
25$ a day translates to Rs 1000 a day, or 30,000 Rs a month, which is very good money. Many software professionals here get between 25,000 to 30,000 Rs a month for a full time job in major Tech companies...
What do you want to buy with Rs 1000 in India You can pay for one month rent of a house ( Don't think of 2BHK or3BHK type house they would cost several thousands ) As I got information from a MBA student that more than 20% of Indian Population lives on a mere Rs 25 per month and this Rs 1000 would mean that you can get most of the items used of daily life . Rs 1000 a day would mean a comfortable life in a metro city in India ..
Simply because in DP there are money + english ... and they are so skilled in computer related tasks ! Good luck indians !
