I have been searching for a way to link to a specific page at a merchant site that will still record my affiliate id. Currently, clickbank only allows hoplink to the site specified by the merchant. I want to test conversion by linking directly to a specific page at the merchant site. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.
I uses easyClickmate and it doesn't do it this way. I believe this is controlled by the merchant and unlike CJ, clickbank doesn't seem to offer this.
Some CB merchants offer this feature with their own technology. See their specific affiliate info pages for details. If you want to roll your own, there are two ways to do it. Place your cookie for the product on the client's computer first, and then link to whatever page you wish. (There are 3rd-party products that help with this.) Duplicate the parts of the sales page that you think are most effective on your own site, and link directly to the order form using the underscore notation. For this you have to know the product number (often but not always 1). The link looks like this: http://ProductNumber.YourCBID_MerchantID.pay.clickbank.net/ Code (markup): In other words, it's just like a regular payment link except that you put your ID and an underline right before the publisher's ID. This has been a useful but undocumented feature of the ClickBank system for some time. They don't guarantee to support it in the future, but I doubt they'll be changing anytime soon.
