It's way better than IPB. I know I'll have to disable a ton of plugins. x.x

Greaaaaat! I love the CAPTCHA system, allows you to eliminate all spam :) Great work by the vB team, I'm seriously proud to be a user of vB.

Most of the new features that the new vB uses I have in my SMF forum since months.

They are available, modding can do the trick. This is about them being there as default options, which is great!

A lot of that can be done by plugins but it's nice to see them add those. I know we won't be making use of them on our forum but well we're a business and don't need social network features.

It all looks pretty good to me.. But personally nothing that really attracted me TOO much.

I still think IPB and VB are on the same level for me. =/

I ain't even gonna bother upgrading to this.

Social networking features - Public Messaging, Customizable Profiles, Picture Gallery etc....they add so many pointless features to an already bloated forum software. This would absolutely slaughter your bandwith. A fair bit of these things should be left as hacks, as in the defauly, they are taking away from what vBulletin really is - a forum system.

I am sticking with 3.6 - its a great forum software.

If you have a dedicated server, then bandwidth isn't a problem.

lol, i've been running a vBulletin forum (3.6.4) for more than a year and a month ago tried to get another forum running with SMF. The new SMF forum is running, but I would never compare SMF with vBulletin if for nothing more than the lack of a vibrant modding community. I've found mods and themes for SMF, but nothing along the lines of what's available @ vb.org.

Are you crazy? SMF is nowhere as good as vBulletin. SMF = free.

At some point you're going to have to upgrade unless you don't like receiving fixes to bugs.

I haven't had any problems with vb 3.6, and I don't really even use it, I prefer using MyBB. I really wish I had a dedicated server too :p

3.7 will be a great piece of softare, but its no longer just a forum software, which is all I want.
