Issues with some profile options

When you set your website field blank, then put the value back later, it uses the old thumbnail instead of generating a new one as expected.
Is there a way to force a new thumbnail to be generated for instances where a websites' entire layout has changed ?

I understand the reasoning behind "latest blog posts" linking back to the thread for new[er] members, but even though I'd removed the blog feed from the profile it was still being updated & displayed in posts.
I just put the blog back thinking maybe my probation period is almost over.

 

Both update in time, it's not instant.
