Maximum PR jump?

    Hi all,

How much maximum do you think a Google PageRank can jump for a page in a single update. I heard a maximum of 0 to 4 PR jump. Does that really help in the same amount of jump in traffic also?

It's possible to go up to 5. CashQuests.com built her site up a lot and then PR went from 0 to 5. She sold it for $15,000 on SitePoint afterwards. I'm not sure about going to 6 or 7 in one jump though.

May be a maximum of PR0 to PR5...after that it is really a high task.

I had one of my sites jump from N/A to 5
N/A means that it had no PR before that cause it was a new domain

after knowing these does you people think PR deserve the kind of importance people put on it. and does the jump in PR materialize with the same amount of jump in traffic also?

I think PR doesn't directly effect a pages traffic unless some one does some promotion.

Traffic doesn't growing with PR update :d I have sometime lots of traffic with PR0 --> btw PR is just green linke on your toolbar ;) Traffic is from positions in SERPS not from PR ;) and position in SERPS is nothing relevant with PR

Not to offend, but i doubt it such a jump when we are talking about a single update is really big. I thought PR are structured in a very difficult way as we know, that getting from 0 to 4 might be much easier than from 6 to 8. and if we assume that we can achieve 0 - 7 in 1 month then a month old site = a major 5 year old article in wiki????

My blog http://www.blogbelea.blogspot.com curently has a 0 PR but i used a PR predict tool and with 92% accuracy it told me that i will have a PR3 at the next update.
The cool part is that i didn't even work that much for this jump.. just some seo and directory sign up. A SEO Guru could go from PR 0 to 5 for sure.

I would be happy to see only 1 points upgrade a time. But how often does google update, every six months?
