Ok, I seen people making the $1000 a week challenge and stuff like that and I can't even make $1 per day. So I'm going to make a $1 a day challenge so at the end of the week, I will make $7 total. How will I do it? Well... anyone reading this thread will offer ideas and I'll try to do them if they are realistic. I will also search around for my own ideas as well.... IF I get motivated. At the end of each day, I will post my earnings and exactly how I did it. If I'm not lazy, we'll all just see how easy it is to make $1 per day! Conditions: WILL SPEND NO MONEY

well, it's a forum, so people can go on there and give ways to make money. I am somewhat good at stocks and stuff, but online money has always been the hardest for me. Stay updated because some money may be come rolling though tonight on this thread.

Obviously, but that's harder done than said. I have a bunch of original content and a lot of it but that doesn't seem to work. Did you visit my site?
Well the first thing I notice is that you have no good adsense ads above the page fold. You have the skyscraper down on the right, but you have to scroll to get to it...never assume your visitors are going to scroll. You want more clicks...and your daily buck??.., get that 160x600 skyscraper off the right side and put it up on the right between your "Main Forums" and "Money Articles" boxes. You might want to think about putting a large leaderboard at the top, right below your orange menu bar. On that leaderboard ad..make the background white, and keep the text black..if you want a border, make it orange like your menu bar. For the side leaderboard..keep the same background you have now, but loose the green border and change the blue text to the dark red or just black. You'll get a lot more action off those placements and colors I'd bet. Nice job doubling your daily goal. Oh and I notice one other thing...you have a nice dissertation going there on in your introduction at the top..but you might want to shorten it up a bit and make it more grabbing. Get something catchy up there like..."If you're not ready to make tons of cash from our new, fresh money making tips, you may as well leave right now, because you're going to learn how to bla bla bla..." something like that. Grab people, and suck them into your site, then overwhelm them with good content and you're on your way. The forum itself is tough to make money on, because people are there to read and post..not click on ads usually. But on your home page, I think with some small changes, you could greatly increase your ad clicks.
Okay, if you have any ONE of the following things, you should be making money. In fact, there is no excuse not to be. 1. Time 2. Website 3. Forum 4. Traffic 5. Members 6. Mailing List Any one of the above is enough to make at least $100 per day online. Most important though is TIME! We usually devote 15 hrs per day to Affiliate Marketing. Yet we are making considerably more than $100 per day!
Thanks for all of those details Christian. I think I see what you are getting at with the dissertation problem on the homepage, I never really could get a catchy thing going up there. I know I could make more money with the ads by changing the placement like you said, but my strategy I got going right now is to at least get some kind of strong visitor flow coming in so they can see the ads, and then retain them in the forums. Either way there will be money coming in if there is visitors and then I can start optimizing the adsense like you described. Thanks for your help, I'll keep your advice in mind. Best Regards
I hear ya, I wish I could freeze time and work for 100 years before I get sleepy and then become lazy every day. Number 4 is where I have the most trouble, I got all the content, forum, websites, very low member base and a "mailing list"of like my members' email addresses. You hear about some of these sites (johncow dot com) that get like 10000 visitors on their grand opening day and they take off right from the beginning, but I've never figured that part out, maybe recommendations from another side business or something developed already?

What is your original content about? Do you own the posts that are made on your forum? How much money do you need a day to consider it a "success"?
check out my site and read those articles under the "money articles" section. Those are all original content by me, but I don't seem to get traffic from them. I really don't know how else to get traffic besides paying money which I don't have except for the $2.16 I made today. To make it a success, I would be happy with $5 per day. That doesn't seem like much but I've spent years trying to get $5 per day on an online site. Many of those days over the years were 15 hour days in the affiliate business, the problem has always been getting traffic.
