    :(

well, i was promoting AFF program under pay per click program
had about 90+ bucks after 14days,

then suddenly it got converted to percentage payout,
now my earnings was changed to $9.96

it says at least 1 free signup per 20 visitors.
my Traffic Quality : 6 uniques per FREE signup

so why was i converted? ( waiting for the affiliate manager to revert to me )

they also told me i cant be converted to ppc program.
    Quote reply from support
"Unfortunately you can not be converted back. However you can start another account all over again."

Start another account all over again ? huh?!

    just wanna share my disappointment..

anyone had this happen on their account, can share with me where do you go from here?
    keep promoting?
create another account all over again ?
    change affiliate?
    give up? haha

    cheers..

Dude, I have 1 free signups per 8 visitors which is way lower than yours. I am earning about $50++ with them.

I think you just have to accept the fact that you are not sending in targeted clicks.

aff as adult friend finder. Even if you have 6 uniques per signup you also have to have 1 paid member every 25 free signups. It may sound weird, but if they don't get any money out of your traffic your traffic isn't good. If you still think that you have quality traffic then percentage program will pay better then ppc.

If you only have $9.96 from % payout that means that you aren't sending many paying members. Ultimately you have to send paying members or they are going to change you to % payout. And if you send paying members then you'll probably want to use % payout anyway.

alright, got respond from the support.
"6 uniques per FREE signup that's good, but you have 0 paying members. You need 1 in 25 free signups."

i read the terms as "or" > silly me. :(

for benefit of others, what is means, is
"we will convert you, if you do not have at least 1 free sign up in 20 visitors and also if you do not have 1 paying member in 25 free sign up"

"Important: if your traffic produces less than 1 FREE signup in
20 visitors, or 1 paying membership in 25 FREE signups, your account may
be converted into a "percentage payout" account at anytime "

oh well, no one die, so nothing to cry for, back to the drawing board.

    thank you for reading. :)

Many people don't read the AFF terms carrefuly enough and get angry when they convert from PPC to PPS.
If you have good free signups ratio but not enough paid signups you should try some dating campaigns that pay for free signups from a CPA network. You can get better revenue this way.

Math is very simple. If you don't bring them money, you can't expect no money. Affiliate programs are "give get" relationship.

Pay per click is sooooo short sighted... Sign up one lonely dude who finds a date once a month and you'll make money forever instead of that whatever cents a click. :D

Yes, they commonly do this. It is sleazy and I believe illegal, to retroactively convert and confiscate your earnings. I would like to see someone challenge them on the legality of that.

When you first sign up they say that you will be converted if you don't bring in a certain amount of paying customers.

It's simple really, if you don't bring in real paying customers then you are worthless to them, why should they pay you for that?

Signing up as a PPC affiliate doesn't make any sense really. You are going to get converted if don't convert and if you *do* convert you will make more money as a percentage affiliate anyway.

I don't make a huge amount with AFF ... I've made about $300 with them so far. But they are far down on my list of priorities. As a % affiliate (which I've been from the start) I also get a % of all future orders made by my referrals of course.

All the traffic I've sent them has been through banners or links on my websites. All natural traffic. I've not put a huge amount of effort into it as of yet or used any PPC.
