    http://www.movforums.com/

Looking for $700 or best offer. Great value for a fully built website ready to go in a killer niche, which would be easy to grow.

    Breakdown of what it's worth:
    $160 - owned vb
    $8.88 - domain (movforum.com)
    $8.88 - domain (movforums.com)
$350 - Chris Rowes vb design
$200 - coding by Gary Rae
    Total = $727.76

It's worth mentioning that the design has been shown to numerous people and has been commented every time saying things such as 'amazing design' , 'fantastic design' and 'beautiful design, who made it?'

A forum like this could be either used for a movie discussion forum, a movie sharing forum, or even perhaps both. I was intending to use it for a movie sharing such (such as movieforumz.com).

If you're interested in making an offer, please feel free to PM me or post here.

This could be a very lucrative opportunity for those people interested in created a p2p movie sharing forum. One of the last ones I heard about was pulling 400-1000 new signups per day, and making easily $5,000 a day from revenue and "platinum" memberships ($10/mo).

Thanks SEO Extreme for the nice comment. This is true, movie sharing forums have enormous potential, and if someone buys this and gets it going, they could see a massive return.

Yeah but for what you're asking it just doesn't make good financial sense to a buyer.

Most experienced forum admins know you don't need a big expensive design to have a successful forum. Ask Tyler cruz. He's got some pretty expensive failures laying around. Example: http://www.mmaforums.net/ Post dates are days and weeks old. only 10 members in the past 24 hours. And thats only one of his failures.

It's all about marketing and promotion. I can start with a dead empty forum for a lot less than $750. Use that money to promote it instead. A lot smarter.

Those aren't even real members. Look at the actual posts. Most of them are spam posts and there's only 19 of them..

give it some time and buy better and optimized forum softwares like vbulletin or invision board. Not everyone start a forum with 10,000 posts and 1,000 members etc.

Give the forum some time and advertise it in every single site you visit. :D

How old is your owned license? If it is 0.00 seconds old then it is worth $160.00.

GeorgeB - I didn't ask you for your opinion on whether you need a unique design to start a good forum. The fact is, it helps a lot.

The price is $700, or best offer.

Better of at TFL, people have seriously driven down the market over here which makes it hard to sell anything for what it's actually worth.

To be honest, asking for over $700 for such a simple website is like trying to sell a chocolate teapot...
You say about the target market being a 'niche' but really, it isn't. There's hundreds of websites that provide video streaming, indexing, discussion and more. That along with the 100's popping up daily means you'll end up spending out at least another $700 for advertisement before you even start getting an established website.

The overall design looks nice, but simple. It could quite easily be done in PhotoShop by grabbing a few stock images, a few renders and tweaking a few settings. As for the vBulletin design, I've personally seen free templates that look just as nice, if not nicer, so for me that would cut out another $160.

I'm not saying it's not worth selling or anything. I'm just saying, you could achieve the same for alot less. At least in my experience.

    Cheers,
    Cosmos.

Actually the truth is there aren't as many suckers here as on other places. Therefore in other places, where nobody asks questions and just eat up whatever the seller says, sites sell for more than they're worth. Not what they're worth.

UKMatt I'm sorry if the truth hurts. If you can show where anything I said above in my post isn't absolutely true you feel free to go ahead and point that out k?

All sales speak and hyping the design aside, we all know that business wise spending $700 on a dead forum with 19 spam posts is pretty absurd.
