Earnings of Proxy Sites

    Hello DP Folks,

I noticed that most of the proxy sites on sale at DP Forums make a lot of money ($100+ at least month). Thats $1200 per year. But then they are willing to sell it for quite less.

I am curious why is this the case. Is it because of the fact that earnings diminish over a period of time? Or too much bandwidth?

I suspect that's $1200 earnings not net profit. Busy proxies have high hosting costs.

i agree with that & most proxies get banned in schools so traffic gets less time by time!

True, but that's why many proxy websites are clones, just different domain. Take www.Privax.us (I know the guy too). He has 30ish proxy sites, and all of them lead to the same gate, browsing from same ip. It will just cost you 10$ per domain, and 10 minutes to set up your proxy page.

I think the reason why they are sold less, is because they are easy to make. That's about it. You don't want to sell a website that you have made a custom cms and custom template, everything in between for a little bit of money.
