How do you manage to get such low traffic with so many pages indexed?

 

Low rankings on keywords, pretty obvious actually...

 

I would have expected as least some of the pages to bring a visit or two from Google. Can we see referral stats?

All current traffic is only from google, and yes it does bring in some traffic.

I don't see how your website with barely any backlinks manages to get 62k pages indexed but one of my websites with good backlinks and PR5 can't manage to get its images indexed. >_<

Anyway, get a few backlinks and I think this site would do well, the only problem is that I wouldn't know how to link build to a lyrics site so I can't bid.

 

1. I'm an seo, i can get anything indexed without spending a dime, the max time limit i give each one of my sites is 40 minutes of work. This one recieved the same.
2. I know its potential well, linkbuilding for this site is not the right way to promote it, and i don't really take advice from anyone.

If you have 62k pages indexed, and you do some decent link building I imagine you could get 1 SE visitor each day to each page which would be 62k visitors per day.

I don't have any sites with massive amounts of indexed pages, but almost all of my pages on all of my sites get at least 1 unique per day from SE.

 

It does-not work like that, indexed pages is not enough they need to rank high on serps as well and linkbuilding for lyric sites end up as whitelabel spam, these sites need more viral advertising (youtube/veoh/myspace), it receives a niche/keyword authority if its done right for 2-4 months, then the pages are brought up to first 500 serps...and thats just the tip of the iceberg, there is alot needed to be done to maintain top 200 rankings with the current competition.

P.s.
If the new owner is interested i can give you some tips on bringing its rankings up.

 

Ouch. Why is it that my articles at www.marketinghub.com rank top 1-30 for my target keywords within a week with no page-specific link building, only link-building to the homepage? Obviously I don't target highly competitive keywords, just low-medium competition. But still, all articles get more than 1 unique per day from Google.

Uh, you are dmoz listed, google loves dmoz it has manually adjusted authority.

Your site doesn't have any real content or any specific niche for that matter, it has pr and authority (serps wise) because of its dmoz listing.

As far as your linkbuilding goes, linking to your frontpage is the best strategy anyone can take up, specially if your site is new, it gets you pr on most links on the front page on the pr update aswell as gets you indexed if your content is relevant and fresh, in your case your dmoz lising works for you there..

IMO, that site can make quite a bit of money if used the right way, eh my 2c.
Id rather make 300$/day with my MFAs.

 

You are looking at the .com, mine is the .info (not in DMOZ). Whatever authority I have is not from DMOZ.

The .info one has no real authority, your rankings could be based on 1 of 2 things..

1- SMM (you've done quite alot of linking from sites)
2- Less bounce rate (onsite)


Only a part of the pages have been indexed. (its almost 2 months old so yea thats kind of a bad thing..)

And overall strength has dropped to 3.5 - which means a pr4

your gov/edu/techno links is keeping you in the top100 since you are quite relevant to your niche, but thats all.
