just like they said directory submission is important, find related sites just like your sites and make link trades, forum postings having a sig linking to your site using your anchor text and hyper link it towards your site the rest is for you to find out....

Write one article and add your link including the "http://.www." so it will actually link to your website. You only need to write one original article. I recently submitted an article to a bunch of directories but most of them declined my article because I had my web address within the main article. Make sure you don't make the same mistake and only add this in your resources box. Unless of course the directory doesn't have a resources box in their form.

Yes like every one said, Directory Submissions, Forums Signatures, Blogs, Social Marketings, Press Release will help. But always keep in mind where you are submitting your website.
