    and hence, THE FINAL RESULT.....

England did not make it to Euro 2008. They were crushed by Croatia at home in Wembley stadium!

lol, McClaren made a very big fault to England Team. I'm not England fan but I saw that McClown chose a very bad 11 lines-up formation, it was bad and I don't know why he put those players as 11 lines-up. WTF!!!

    I'm right as usual! :p

I should have had that as a double, especially with Croatia at 7:1 !!!

Funny thing is, somebody told me that the UEFA coifficents mean that Wales - thanks to their draw in Germany - may be listed in the same pot as England for the WC 2010 draw :D

FA chief executive Brian Barwick said that nationality would not be an issue in choosing a new coach..
Jose Mourinho and Martin O'Neill are the bookies favourites..

Jose Mourinho, Martin O'Neil or Phil Scolari are the front runners, although some fans seem to want Alan Shearer in as the new manager, hopefully they were joking!

Mourinho as the coach will be interesting.

One thing is for sure, he won't think twice before dropping either Gerrard or Lampard if the situation demands it.

I have to admit it will be interesting to see Jose Mourinho leading the England team, from what he has done to Chelsea. Well, apart from the only silverware - the Champion League title - he's achieved a lot during his time.

The only thing is, if he is able to get along with the FA Board of Directors :D

Sometimes you need not get along with the board to keep your job ;)

As long as England win under his tenure, the FA will not risk negative publicity by sacking him .

FA Chief Executive Brain Barwick has said that the nationality of the next manager will not be an issue. So they will appoint a manager based on their qualities rather than if they are English or not!

I'm Portuguese but I am sad for the England not to play the Euro2008. He's bad to lose one equips of these in a competition of this level.

The next coach to the England will be Jose Mourinho. ;)

    Best Regards

England needs a coach that knows what his doing. What was Crouch doing playing as a lone striker? A lone striker needs to hold the ball up to bring middfielders into the attack. But how can you hold the ball up if the crosses are aimed at your head? Why he didn't bring on a second striker to pull the defenders away from Crouch sooner, I don't know.

Yeah agree with you gazu, as soon as Defoe came on we looked a real handful up top and got a goal back. Like i've already said, the Croatian manager admitted that had England played 4-4-2 from the start it would have being a different result!
