Google's 2007 Q4 PageRank (PR) Update - 10/13/07

yeah! i actually lied to all of you, my site stayed the same, but don't red rep me. good viral marketing here, thats all

 

Pretty depressing , i did work hard for submitting links to a lot of places , but somehow due to other commitments i couldnt commit myself fully to the directory in the last few months , i was about to sell it as someone with a little more time & intelligence could really make some serious money from it, it almost seems like yesteday i was a pr3 , i checked the pagerank today and it is back to square one with a page rank zero

 

I think the tool doesn't work recently.
I see PR3 for my directory at toolbar, but the tool shows PR0 for it also: http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://www.vinabet.net .
Try to check by other tools.

 

holy christ you are right !! i just checked it in the google toolbar in IE and it showed a PR3 , okay a little depression goes away for sure on my way to sell it then

erm, someone telling about this to me on my dir submission service. The PR in report not the same like the real one. It quite difficult to explain on PR right now.

 

i think the serp count will again emerge as a leading indicator of how well marketed the site is as compared to the Phail Rank! which has captured the market for 2 long!

time to go back to basics!

Brace yourselves everyone... But wait we don't care for PR it means nothing but it doesn't stop the directory prices doubling or more when we recieve 1 or 2 points of green bar.

 

Seem like G has spent that much time messing with pr, the end result??? PR is a mess and surely close to the end.

despite that at the moment more people on the poll (me included) have had an overall increase in PR.....

 

We did it, we created site in May 07 and by Oct 07 we got PR from 0/none to 4 next will be pr 6.

Don't over generalize that small poll. Voters are not chosen randomly, and I'm sure that people who got their PR decreased (me included) are not excited to vote on anything.

 

I'd say google is making it harder for good pr, but still positioning in the search engine to suit what pr you should have got on the old system

by that i mean, my site was pr 3, I got an extra 290 backlinks that google registered, but my pr didn't go up! However google lifted me waaay up for my key words on the search engine as if I got a pr 6

It looks like things are pretty stable. Haven't seen any changes in the last 2 days.

There are been some minor ups and downs but the majority of directories are the same.

The one thing I have noticed is that the PR changes seem to propagate to all the Google data centers. I'm thinking that it could possibly point to a manual PR change rather than a massive algo.

 

Google is so unpredictable these days.

 

it is really a big surprise for us. i dont know what's happening with google PR. it is updated every 3 months but this it is updated very late and then big sites lost their PR

may be google thinks i m using black hat techniques
