Hey guys. I am almost done creating my first tableless site and was wondering what you guys think of it (only page still to do is "contact"). Share your critiques, good and bad, anything I can change to make it better. http://reelracing.tv/barrymore/index.html Yea I know the index page is terribly plain with a lot of text so I am especially interested in how this page can be improved. Please and thank you, Jordan
Looks good, you could do better with that menu though, a nice rollover effect would be good. Get an error 404 on your contact page though. Why are you using a XHTML transitional doctype when the XHTML strict doctype validates? Just wondering...i'd put a strict one on.
Nice colors and arrangement. On your contact page I received 404 not found, but did find the Bitches on Power Boats video rather entertaining on the contact us page
Very nice for a first try. There is a little thing though but probably not important anyway. The size of the photo box and then the property features box appear having the same width in FireFox and Opera whilst IE is rendering the property features box to be narrower.
Very nice for you first attempt . Here was my first attempt at making a static template from scratch - a total disaster
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I was nervous when opening this thread just now thinking there were going to be a lot of bad reviews In regards to the contact page, thats the page I still haven't finished, just waiting on the info from the person who I am making it for. I wanted to do rollovers at first but got frustrated trying to make nice looking matte images for the buttons. I'm not too hot with the photoshop thing. Maybe I will give it another shot today and see what I can come up with. Oh and good point about the doctype, I'll change to strict . I am just used to using transitional. Yea I notice that. It happens in IE6. IE7 was the same as Firefox and Opera. Not sure what the problem is there but not too worried about it anyways.
