Hey guys, Just curious if any one has toyed with the idea of a web cam site where viewers are charged x rate per minute? I'd be very interested to try and put together a feasibility for it and see if it could float =) BTW, hardware and bandwidth are not of any concern to me. (I have open pipe to the network, i just pay extra when i go over the 100mB throughput)
a ton of people all ready do that and it works for them so im sure it will work again if you do that 2. and well are you just going to have them pay to login? maby you could charge a monthly membership. or give them the optioin of a monthly membership a yearly membership or an hrly rate.
You could always post to getafreelancer.com to see what something like that would cost. I would guess it's more than feasible.
The setup is very expensive. A cheap site to do what you want would need a $xx,xxx budget. You're a few years late to catch the instant cash but the market is still decent.
yeah i thought so. It was just something which has been rattling around my head for the last little while. (That and a local personals site here in Oz is looking to do something similar and I was contemplating putting in a tender for it).
I have a site set up for this already, check the sig. If you're interested in helping me get the females there, i'd be open to a very lucrative revenue sharing proposition.
interesting drew, I have actually finished pre-launch of a social network for Australian adults in the last week. This may be a little too targetted. HOWEVER, i also have another domain which will be used for Internationals. Perhaps we will need to talk =)
We definately need to talk. The social site i'm referring to has EVERYTHING - Webcams, PhoneChat, ...............everything. Perhaps we can put our heads together and split the revenue. The trend i'm seeing with the webcams is that it ALWAYS evolves into a "freak show", but I have no problem with this as these are adults and the Webcam feature is one-on-one.
NetNinja, The site is something that can be developed in any market. I'm open to the idea of it "catching fire" in any market, so long as it catches on. Let's seriously talk about this as I wouldn't mind capitalizing in Australia if you're able to help build that userbase.
requires some thought, but i will have to evaluate this one when i finish this monolithic project for my boss
