    On what basis?
Cricket maybe, but tonight proves what a shower of shite we really are as a international footballing side.

Pretty decent at rugby. Football your okay at (got into world final a few times, most of the time you make it into the world cup at least). Cricket your pretty decent at.

I'm from Scotland, I could write a list of what your better than us at...:p lol

I'm not English but i must say i can't imagine the Euro2008 without England.
It's just awful!! Specially after Israel beat Russia.

I don't think England is crap but they do crack under pressure and don't know how to keep possession (crucial this days).

Mourinho for the place Steve has probably left already!! He will win the WC for you.

    peace

I'd love to see Mourinho in for McClown, he will bring pride and passion back to the country. But we are crap at football at the minute, if we weren't we'd be in the Euro's. The players had 2 chances to qualify and failed twice!!

Nothing like kicking them when they are down.. If they won everyone would be raving about how good they were.. Lots of good players out tonight with injuries.

Yeah and they have missed out on Big Sam now.
In fact i'd love Stuart Pearce to be given the job, shows passion and will kick some of the players in the squad into shape.

    No foreign manager??

YOu have enjoyed relative sucess under Sven. Well, at least didn't miss any big events and were a respectable side. That's how you show appreciation?
I think you should drop that attitude towards foreign managers. (j

NO! Never have Chelski SCUM as England manager!

How can Moanio bring passion to an English squad if hes portuguese

We need Stewart Pearce as manager with Ian Wright assistant!

Then tell me theres no passion!!

Omg, just saw the highlights on the BBC News website.

How big a fool can FucLaren be?

Ashley Cole, Brown and Beckam, three of the more experienced players on the bench and replacing them were Bridge, SWPhillips(??) and Lescott(????).

After all these years, he still makes amateurish mistakes - no wonder you guys are out...
