Old look: 6,000 UV / $50 daily || New look: 15,000 UV / $35 daily

Ummm what the hell? My clicks are the same if not even more and i'm making less money!? My question is, will it take Adsense a bit to adjust to my new layout before they start paying me what I used to get with the old look of my site?

I'm very confused.

 

What is your CTR and impressions?

 

Did your eCPM + CTR drop by any chance or did it stay the same?

 

Better check for another couple of days and decide..

 

Each my CTR and eCPM went down a full point each (1% and $1).

 

Ya, that's why. If your eCPM can go back up again to what it was before, then you'll be making $50/day again.

There is always conflict between Profit and goodwill. As adsense has reduced the clickable area, it will reduce the accidental click. We can see it two way.

1. It will reduce our earning (BTW my CTR stay the same)
2. It will good for advertisers.

My CTR and EPC is still same. But something starnge is happening which has reduced the earning from adsense. On second point, anything good for advertiser is good for publisher too in this manner in long run. Just think if they desert the adsense system because of low RoI, what will happen. We publisher have to lookout for YPN which produce crap ads which show Irrelevant ads on your sites.

I have seens Digital products ads on a beauty concepts site on YPN. Their targetting is so bad. Auctionads seems to be dying, kontera is for bigger websites(well John Chow provide a link to it for smaller sites too) and their are too many crap out there. But Still Adsense is the king has no alternative. So hang on buddy, let them tweak the system. It may be good for us once settle down.

hang on a minute, you referring to new layout as "Adsense clickable area" or your new website design?

Everyone assumed he meant adsense clickable area lol.

If you have changed your website design, its prolly not working good for you. People are neglecting your ads, so the older layout was prolly better.

 

He is saying he is getting more clicks, so it has nothing to do with clickable area or that the new design is having an adverse affect on the number of clicks. He is getting more clicks but less moeny.

Not well blended? I'm getting 3x more clicks than I used to.

Ouch, 2k Clicks and that low earnings? I thought my one site was doing bad with 1.3k clicks and 100$. Haha.

 

Like I said, I just hope somehow Adsense was shocked by the sudden change and it shook everything up. Today i'm at 1,184 clicks and $50. Not bad for a day when all kids are not in school and most of the people are not at work.

 

Not bad buddy. It's a vacation today - so of course your earnings will be higher.
Just give it some time and you should be back at $50/day
